The Puritas Baseball League is ready to go for the 2024 season and we’re eager to get things rolling! We’re excited to share some updates with you all and thank you in advance for your patience as we transition into these changes.

In order to better facilitate the management of our great Puritas Baseball League, as well as maintaining our beautiful Maplewood Park, we are establishing a new 501c3 non-profit organization, Maplewood CLE.

From a legal standpoint, we were unable to retain the Puritas Baseball name for financial purposes…but it was very important to us to keep the legacy and tradition of Puritas Baseball going! We are proud of what that name represents and will continue to use it going forward for our league.

We are going to be adding more info to our website as we can…and while we hope that everything works correctly, please let us know if you run into any issues (while we know our baseball, we are new to this website design stuff). 🚨 IT’S ABOUT THAT TIME!!! 🚨

Puritas Baseball registration for the 2024 season is just around the corner! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on several new projects to help make this a fun and enjoyable season for everyone. We can’t wait to be back out on the fields and hope you will join us this upcoming spring/summer!

🗓️ Registration is set to open Feb 1st and will run thru end of March.

⚾️ Majors/Minors $75, Coach Pitch $60, T-Ball $45

💻 We have been working on a new website (our old one was no longer an option)…details coming soon.

🤩 Our Major, Minor, and Coach Pitch divisions will have an exciting new look with their jerseys this year!

We have received your messages and seen the comments about pictures still not being delivered. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused. When he reached out to Legends Photography, we were ensured that pictures would be mailed to families/coaches back in August.
At this time, we encourage you to reach out to Legends Photography personally by calling the following number: 440-488-7445 (Jeff)

Update regarding pictures:
After speaking with Legends Photography, they informed us they will be reprinting all pictures and mailing them to the addresses listed on the order form. IF an address was NOT provided pictures will be mailed to the appropriate head coach to be distributed. We will follow up next week and pass along any additional information we receive. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

A message from Tom:

After 37 years I am announcing my retirement from the Puritas Baseball League, effective August 1. I have immensely enjoyed all my years as commissioner through good times and bad. I have made so many friends in all those years from my role as commissioner and as a coach. I want to thank all those that I have had the opportunity to work with over all these years. Puritas Baseball has been and always will be in my blood. It has been my greatest satisfaction that I had the opportunity to provide an opportunity for the boys and girls in the Cleveland area to play the greatest game in the world...baseball.

A special place in my heart for all the guys I had the opportunity to work with on our grounds crew. Even on the days we prepped fields in snow, on the 100 degrees days, and getting caught in thunderstorms. What a blast!! Also, to all the guys and ladies I started with as a league official, Fred Ialacci, Bob Szabo, Jack Cotter, John Gill, Cheri Schell and many others...a big thank you.

Simon Lowe will be taking over as commissioner. Simon has been associated with Puritas Baseball in various roles for the past (at least) 10 years. He has been involved with youth baseball all across the country at all various age levels. He will bring a new, youthful energy to our program and a lot of experience. I have complete confidence in him moving forward. I would not leave the future of this league to someone I didn't think was up to the job.
