This was a night of hard hitting nonstop action with every single fight ending by a brutal knock out or high level submission in front of a sold out crowd. "This was one of the best cards I've seen" stated by Steve Matthews of Big Nasty MMA www.bignastymma.com. Tierre Hall promoter for War Zone MMA Fight Series said in an interview that the fighters of this tournament are making it live up to it's name. They are bringing the pain. War Zone MMA Fight Series is for REAL FIGHTERS ONLY. We don't pad fights so if you want to be proven then this is the league for you. This promotion is about showcasing the very best fighters around. Comedian Joey Zsa Zsa hosted the Destruction tournaments first round, bringing pure entertainment to a action packed night. If you think this is an exaggeration of the truth, Well not one of the fights at Destruction made it out of the first round. Steve Matthews owner of Big Nasty MMA presented the following awards:
Submission of the Night to Jabril "THE REAL DEAL" Patterson. Jabril's submission was sick. He had not one but three submission at the same time locked on to Allan Keller who had tremendous heart. Jabril had a straight leg lock along with an inverted triangle lock along with a key lock. The key lock was was the worst of them all. Allan said before going into the ring "I, will not give up". As Jabril commenced to crank the key lock, the same way we just recently saw UFC fighter Antonio Nogueria receive a very badly broken arm, Allan Keller refused to tap out until just before veteran referee Victor Ventresca stepped in to stop the fight. Knock out of the Night went to Steve Chapple. Steve started the fight looking to be on the loosing end of the fight as Darrick Looney and he exchanged heavy blows. With neither fighter backing up it was up to who was going to move who first. A heavy blow was landed by Steve that put him in a good position for a strong clinch. As Darrick began to break the hold of Steve. Steve was able to land another blow that allowed him to get behind Darrick. Once Steve had Darrick's back he went for a slam that knocked Darrick Looney out cold. The next Award given was one of the hardest picks that night. This Award would be none other than The Fight Of the Night. There were two fights to choose from, All Out Assault's "AOA" Brandon Odom -VS- Independent Kahilil Sommerville, and DeVontai Moore and Samuel Stanley.
