🔥 THERE'S A GLEAM LEGENDS 🔥

OZZIE NEWSOME

"The Wizzard of Oz"

Before Travis Kelce.
Before Rob Gronkowski.

There was Ozzie Newsome.

The Browns selected Newsome out of Alabama in 1978, and all he did was become one of the greatest players in franchise history.

Smooth.
Reliable.
Clutch.

While defenders worried about stopping the run, Ozzie was quietly finding open space and moving the chains.

When his career ended, he was the NFL's all-time leading receiver among tight ends with 662 catches and more than 7,900 receiving yards.

He earned three Pro Bowl selections, was named to the NFL's 1980s All-Decade Team, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

But Browns fans remember something even more important.

When the game was on the line, Bernie Kosar knew exactly where to look.

No. 82.

For an entire generation of Browns fans, Ozzie Newsome defined what a great tight end should be.

And long after his playing days ended, he continued building football history as one of the NFL's most respected executives.

A Hall of Famer.

A Browns icon.

A football pioneer.

Jared Verse is now a Cleveland Brown.

The question isn’t whether he’ll be good.

The question is: How much gleam do you have in him becoming the centerpiece of the Browns defense?

5️⃣ Full Gleam – Franchise Changer
4️⃣ Strong Gleam – Defensive Leader
3️⃣ Solid Gleam – Pro Bowl Producer
2️⃣ Flicker – Good Player, Big Shoes
1️⃣ No Gleam – Not Even Close

Verse arrives in Cleveland carrying the weight of replacing one of the greatest defensive players in Browns history. That’s no easy task.

Can he become the next face of the defense? Or will Browns fans spend every Sunday wishing Myles Garrett was still here?

🐾🏈 INSIDE THE DAWG POUND - FREE AGENT FIDO OF THE WEEK 🏈🐾

Meet Malcolm (photos in comments)

At around 3 years old, Malcolm is entering the prime of his career and is looking for a team to call his own. Standing tall with a powerful build, this guy might look like a defensive end coming off the edge, but don't let the size fool you. Underneath all that muscle is a lovable, goofy, big-hearted Dawg who simply wants a forever home. He is very people friendly and happiest when he’s right by your side.

Malcolm is one of the most dog-friendly players in the entire league. Seriously, if there was a Pro Bowl for making canine friends, this guy would be a first-ballot selection. He loves being around other dogs and brings positive locker-room chemistry wherever he goes.

Now let's address the scouting report. Malcolm is a strong dude. We're talking Myles Garrett-level strength without the pass-rush moves. Because of that, he'll need an experienced coach—uh, we mean owner—who is comfortable handling a larger, stronger dog. But once you get past the physical measurements, you'll discover what every great talent evaluator looks for: heart. He is also very people friendly. And Malcolm's heart is off the charts.

This guy isn't looking for fame or stats. He's not chasing endorsements. He just wants a family, a couch, some belly rubs, and a chance to be part of a team that will love him as much as he'll love them.

Every day Malcolm remains in the shelter is another week spent on the practice squad when he belongs on an active roster. He's ready to sign his forever contract, report to training camp, and become the MVP of someone's household.

So Browns fans, let's do what Browns fans do best—support our Dawgs.

Share this post. Tag your friends. Tell your neighbors. Let's help Malcolm find the forever home he's been waiting for.

🏡 Free Agency is officially open.

🐶 Malcolm is available immediately.

✍️ Who's ready to sign this lovable big man to a lifetime deal?

For Malcolm, this isn't about winning games—it's about finding a family.

Let's help this Dawg finally hear the words every free agent wants to hear: 'Welcome home. 🧡🤎🐾

FLYING SOLO THIS WEEK ON THERE'S A GLEAM

Steve is out this week, so the show is entirely in my hands.

Whether that's a good thing remains to be seen.

We'll cover Browns news, AFC North Intel, NFL headlines, Draft Talk, Gleam Meter, The Land, Inside the Dawg Pound, Free Agent Fido, Steve's Two-Minute Drill, and our LotZoo Tailgating segment.

But the main event is the Myles Garrett trade and story.

From the draft pick that changed the franchise, to the rise of a Defensive Player of the Year, to the controversies, the fan reactions, the contract battles, the trade demands, and what may already be the single biggest transaction in Cleveland Browns history.

Love him or hate him, agree with him or disagree with him, Myles Garrett's time in Cleveland will be debated for decades.

This isn't a highlight reel.

This is the timeline of an era.

Join me Wednesday at Noon as I take a look back at one of the most important stories the Browns franchise has ever experienced.

And since I'm flying solo, there's always a chance the whole thing goes completely off the rails.

Wednesday at Noon.

Live on Facebook, YouTube, and X.

Thank You, Myles.

For years, #95 gave Browns fans everything he had.

The sacks. The strip-sacks. The game-changing moments. The records. The passion. The effort.

Through winning seasons and losing seasons, Myles Garrett was one of the faces of Cleveland football and one of the most dominant defensive players to ever wear a Browns uniform.

Today, Browns fans say goodbye to a player who gave us countless memories and a Hall of Fame-caliber career.

No matter where his journey takes him next, his place in Browns history is secure.

Thank you for the passion.
Thank you for the dominance.
Thank you for the legacy.

Good luck, 95.
