Form creates intensity. When you perform movements with strict form, you create more more full body tension, and therefore more work done by your muscles. There’s a time and place for creating momentum and being explosive With our movements but before even training in that manner you need to demonstrate control during those movement patterns. A structure can only be as strong as the foundation it is built upon.

As if forward lunges needed to be any more challenging on the legs and core, let’s do them “stealth” mode! Lighten the load and staying low is the name of the game to hammer the quads and place a tremendous amount on your core and upper back! No need to rush with these either. Own the movement just like does here!
Check out working hard through her 4th and final round of RDLs on the day. We played around with a couple different tempos in the course of today’s workout to challenge the muscles thru the entire range of motion in both the eccentric and concentric portions of the lift. Way to work Amber💪🏼

PUSH it to the limits. You’ll hear us talk about “reps in the tank” during our demonstrations sometimes. What we’re talking about is, when you hear that 10 second knock at the end of a strength set, are you approaching muscle failure?? Our training philosophy revolves around the INTENSITY of your work. Because we hit the full body in our training, this means that each muscle group has a predetermined number of sets in the course of the workout, and therefore every set is that much more important that we work as hard as we can to keep our form tight, our intensity high, and the loading be APPROPRIATELY challenging. You need to make every rep of every set count, and we’re there to help make sure you do!!
Rise to the challenge! That’s exactly what did ALL WEEK! Not every day will be your best day, but you have to be willing to give your best on any given day. Francesca rocked these banded RDLs this morning and strung together a great week of workouts! Happy Friday gang!
Work Hard Wednesday with a special shout-out to all our law enforcement officers out there. The gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in the human body and rightly so, because it’s responsible for creating hip extension (think of standing up out of a chair, out of the bottom of a squat), as well as creating stability through the pelvis during both stationary and dynamic actions. Strong glutes are therefore essential to combating lower back pain, especially in individuals who may be seated for prolonged periods of time. As a member of the Saratoga County Sheriffs, Nick Hess knows that many she days on the job include long hours spent in his vehicle, and so we combat that by getting after the those glutes!
