Men’s Baseball Lose Former Saint

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and the Baseball program were saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former varsity athlete Bailey Durocher this past weekend.

Durocher, 24, was a member of the Saints Baseball team during the 2015 and 2016 seasons helping them to a 35-3 record in the regular season to go with a 10-1 playoff record that included a pair of OCAA Provincial Gold Medals in addition to a National Silver in his final year as part of the St. Clair bullpen. Durocher was originally from Owen Sound and graduated from the Border Services program at St. Clair College before moving on to the NCAA Division II level where he pitched a pair of seasons for Clarion University (Pennsylvania).

Former teammate and current Saints Associate Head Coach Tristan Bouchat remembered, “Bailey was one of the best teammates. He always had a smile and was there to pick up his fellow teammates. He’s going to be missed by everyone he played with.”

St. Clair College extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bailey Durocher. Funeral arrangements are currently not available.

Ezra S was brilliant on the hill on Saturday, as Ezra threw a no-hitter to lead JAXX Elite 13u past Team Canada 13u Maj 3-1.

Ezra led things off on the mound for JAXX Elite 13u. The righty went four innings, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out 11.
