🏁 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND AT LUCKY THUMB! 🏁

We spent Friday and Saturday at Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club for the D14 State Championships, racing TT Friday night and Short Track Saturday night.

Friday night on the TT, Jagger brought home a πŸ₯‡ 1ST PLACE in the Cobra 50!

On the 65, things didn’t go quite the way we wanted. A rider in front of Jagger clipped a cone on the inside, and Jagger ran right into it. It washed the front end out and unfortunately ended his 65 main with a DNF.

Then came Saturday…

This kid went out on the Cobra 50 with one goal β€” PUT IT ON THE BOX! πŸ†

Jagger was making his way toward the 1st-place rider when they caught up to lap traffic. He took it just a little too wide, got into the loose dirt off the track, and slid out. 😩

DNF.

Man… was he upset. And honestly, we were all pretty bummed. He knew he had the speed and was putting together a great race.

After that crash, he had to jump right back on the 65 for the main and finished 5th.

🏁 Overall, this kid rode GREAT all weekend.

He truly lives up to his nickname β€” β€œFLIP.” πŸ˜‚ He isn't afraid to send it, put it all on the line, and race his heart out.

We've definitely got a few things to work on, but we're walking away from this weekend SUPER proud of him. The speed is there. The fight is there. And most importantly, the kid loves to race. ❀️🏁

Now we regroup, work on the little things, and get ready for the next one!

πŸ’”πŸ Yesterday, the flat track community lost another young racer following injuries sustained while doing what he loved.

This marks another heartbreaking loss in our racing community this year. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nantz family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved Bane during this incredibly difficult time. πŸ™

With big races coming up this weekend, we ask the Lord to place His hand of protection over every rider, young and old. Keep them safe, watch over them on and off the track, and bring everyone home safely to their families.

🏁 LONG WEEKEND AT THE TRACK! 🏁

What a weekend at Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club! It definitely wasn’t without a little adversity, but Jagger kept pushing through it! πŸ’ͺ🏁

Friday night was TT racing, and Jagger finished 3rd on both bikes! πŸ₯‰πŸ₯‰

We were fighting a fuel issue with the 65 all night. We got it running okay, but it definitely wasn’t 100%.

So Saturday, we got to the track early and tore into the 65 to figure out what was going on. A HUGE thank you to everyone who jumped in and helped us get it figured out:

Once we got the 65 back up and rolling, it was time to go racing!

During the big bike heats, there was a bad wreck. Our thoughts and prayers are with that rider, and we truly hope you’re okay. πŸ™

After the heats and wreck, track officials made the call to stop racing for the night due to the track conditions and, most importantly, everyone’s safety. We completely understand and appreciate them putting the riders and everyone at the track first.

Since racing was called, positions were determined by heat race finishes, giving Jagger another 3rd place finish for the weekend! πŸ₯‰

Not exactly the way we wanted the weekend to end, but we’ll take it! Lots of lessons learned, a whole lot of work put in, and plenty of people who stepped up to help us when we needed it. That’s what racing is all about! 🏁
