Commuting by bike around Fresno & Clovis has its perks! Skip the freeways, save on gas and start your day with a little fresh air instead of brake lights. Whether you're riding to work, school or just cruising across town, a good setup makes all the difference.

A few basics that go a long way:
• Front and rear lights, even during the day
• A helmet that fits correctly
• Tire pressure checked at minimum weekly
• A flat repair kit + spare tube in your bag
• Water, Fresno heat doesn’t mess around.

A couple pro tips from riders who do it often:
• Ride predictable, be visible and make your movements obvious to drivers.
• Leave 10 minutes earlier than you think you need to. Commuting by bike gets a lot more enjoyable when you’re not rushing every stoplight.
• Side streets are your friend. A slightly longer route with less traffic can be faster and way less stressful.
• Keep a small multi tool and mini pump with you. The one time you leave them at home is the one time you’ll need them.

Thinking about commuting by bike this season and need help planning a route or just want to talk gear, swing by and let us help you start commuting by bike!

Fast group rides, long weekend miles, or just getting out for a ride after work, the new Giant Contend SL lineup is built to make every road ride feel smooth, fast and fun.
The new Contend SL 1 and SL 0 blend lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frames, clean integrated cable routing, full carbon forks and endurance focused comfort into one seriously sharp looking package. Comfortable enough for big days in the saddle, but responsive enough when you want to push the pace.
The SL 0 steps things up with Shimano 105 and a sleek aero inspired design that looks just as fast standing still. The SL 1 keeps the same confident ride feel with a build kit that punches well above its price point.
These bikes are cool. Plain and simple.
Come check them out and see why the new Contend SL might be the perfect road bike for you!
