Saturday recap for our YOUTH HORNETS!

Flag was spread around the region this weekend. Flag doesn't keep official score. Unofficially, Red had a nice win over Mason County and Black team came up just 1 score shy in a close game with a good Ashland team. Way to go, kids!

Our tackle teams played in the pit at Gallia.

A Team fell to a strong Gallia team. Let's regroup and get a win this weekend at Mason County!

B Team was in a dogfight with an undefeated Gallia team. It was a scary one, but our boys ultimately pulled out the win! Your B team remains UNDEFEATED on the year!

C Team looked polished and ran away with a nice win! Keep the wins coming, boys! You're in a great position to be the 2nd seed in post-season!

Let's all finish strong! C and B, in particular, are looking for a deep run into the post-season!

EDIT: 7:45! There will be plenty of pizza pop and chips for all players and I THINK plenty for the families (I guessed on about how many people kids and kids are usually at practice) just make sure to let the players and kids eat get theirs first please to be sure! After that help yourselves! ❤️

Tomorrow, Tuesday the 15th, is our pizza party from the fundraiser! Head to the shelter after practice at 7:30 ❤️ -sponsored by coal grove Giovanni’s! Huge shout out to them and their continued support and generosity!

Because 6th grade recognition is at 1/2 time of b team game on the 3rd, this is the revised schedule for concessions:
Board covers flag at 9:00
A covers C at at 10:00
C covers B at 11:15
B covers A at 12:30

We’d also like to ask a couple flag parents to help cover c with a team.

When it comes to concession volunteers, we have some who always step up and have been there multiple times. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate those people! But yesterday was crazy… those b team parents covering for A didn’t just work through the lightning delay, they covered cg v pw game, AND STAYED for the extra Ashland pw game, THEN they helped clean up! They were there for several hours! Prior to that our flag parents who were covering c team stuck around longer than they should have when we were short on a team volunteers to cover b! B team coverage is important because myself and Carrie (who are there from 7:30-3:00 every Saturday) have kids playing on b team and cannot be in the concession stand during that time. Huge should out to all of our wonderful volunteers! But extra big to those who go above and beyond!!!

As much as I love all of those people, I hope to not see their faces in that concession stand on Oct 3, they’ve done enough! So if you haven’t volunteered yet, please be sure to reach out to your team moms and make sure our last host date of the season is covered!
