The Shame Cycle is a plague on our attempts at personal development. It is the reason that people often experience more unhappiness when they try to do the work of feeling better. Learning to tackle the Shame Wizard (Big Mouth reference šš») will make positive changes so much easier to achieve.

Think of it as Stress Exercising instead of Stress Eating. It might be a healthy and virtuous reaction to an emotional trigger but when it gets filtered through your anxiety it can quickly turn obsessive and excessive. Now youāre not doing it for better health. You only do it to quiet the anxiety.

I donāt always advocate for my own health. Im the āitās probably nothingā type. So I owe my wife, like I do for so much in my life, for pushing me to follow up on my sleep issues. The sleep issues havenāt been resolved but along the way we found a lump on my thyroid. Biopsy showed a 75% chance of cancer. So now the thyroid is gone. Iām recovering in the hospital. Iāll find out if itās cancer in a few days. But I am grateful. And I am lucky. Iām grateful forever to my wife, who I love so much, for doing the hard work of dealing with my dumb ass. I am lucky that thyroid cancer is an extremely treatable form and Iāll be just fine. There are so many who arenāt as lucky. So you wonāt hear boohooing from me! Just a thyroid! God saw fit to grant me with a spare! Wait⦠I donāt think thatās right. Thanks to my friends for the Thyroid Plushie.

Been working hard this year and getting back to practicing what I preach. This here is the progress so far for the first half of my 12 Week Transformation Challenge with . Iāve lost 13 pounds, 5% body fat, and at 39 years old this week Iāve never been stronger. Howād I do it? I havenāt missed a single TFW practice this year, i have followed the same simple portion control nutrition plan that all of our students use, and I have consistently used the full line of Prestige Labs supplements every day. Todays Meal Prep: Chicken with Greens and Brussels Sprouts. Turkey Meatballs in Tomato Sauce with a buttload of Spinach cooked into it. These meatballs are so damn good! Also, someone once asked how much a buttload of something is. The only possible answer: Two Handfuls. š ā£
