I have a suggestion. When we went riding to brimstone park last year, they always tried to keep an updated list of trails that were down so riders could avoid those. Last time we were on spearhead at both ridgeview and Mountain View we made it pretty far on a couple trails and then the connector trail was closed and we had to just completely backtrack. Maybe you could keep a running list on your website or even page of trails that are down so you don’t waste time backtracking. Thanks!

What is best place to stay in ST Paul?

Enjoyed couple nights camping at leeman field campground and riding sxs on Stone Mountain trails! Met the trail ranger while on the trails . He was very informative and had lots of good information about the trails. If you haven’t been on Stone Mountain it’s definitely worth the trip! Can’t wait to go again .

How to enter Jawbone Trails while Doran Trailhead is Closed: At Whitewood park and unload at the tennis courts near Community Center. Ride hardtop towards Jewell Valley (Rt. 638) for about a half mile and turn right onto Brown Ridge Rd. (Rt. 635) Follow signs for about 3.8 miles on the hardtop. Look for the sign to turn right onto trail system (Benny Branch Rd. will be on your left just before you turn right). About a quarter-mile up a gravel road you will cross railroad tracks onto the trails. You will be on Coal Canyon Jewell Valley trail system. Jawbone will be on the other side of the mountain towards Richlands. The county line separates the trail systems on top of mountain. On the Jawbone system, be sure to ride the trails that turn off the gas well roads (40,70,74, 91,etc.)......you will like what you find . We all are hoping the Doran Jawbone Trailhead will open soon so we don't have to travel to the Whitewood Trailhead to enter the trails. Google Maps link to these directions:

Our Main Office will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 31.

The trails will be open from Daylight to Dark. The Sportsman Complex will be open from 8-5.

Great things are happening in the Town of Haysi! The THUNDER MOUNTAIN MOTOCROSS track is getting upgrades and a makeover! Maintenance and improvements are in-process and should be finished up soon! We have plans to hold ATV, Dirt Bike and SxS races later this summer and during the Dickenson County Fair September 13-17, 2022. The track is open to the public 365 days a year from dawn to dusk and is located near Haysi Kiwanis Park and the trailhead of Spearhead Trails Haysi's Ridgeview Trail, just a short distance to and from the ATV friendly town of Haysi for fuel, food and shopping!
