Being ready is a myth.
I’m deep in the suck phase - and honestly, it’s not that bad once you realize half the crowd is here too.
Trying new things, messing them up, laughing about it, pretending we meant to do it that way… that’s the era I’m in. Travel plans? Chaotic. Comedy? Hit-or-miss but I keep going back. Workouts? My kettlebell and I have a complicated relationship.
And 2026? Don’t even ask - we’re rolling with it.
If you’re also in that “I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m showing up anyway” season…
Welcome. Grab a seat.
Our boat is probably pointed the wrong direction, but we’ll course-correct before we hit anything. 😂
What phase are you in?

Trying to live intentionally… but honestly?
I’m still winging it about 87% of the time.
That’s why it’s called Intentional-ish. 😂
Anyone else living in the ‘ish’ era?

Downsizing to a 5x10 storage unit sounded very “minimalist chic”… until we were standing there debating whether a waffle maker counts as a necessity.
(Spoiler: I said yes.)
We’re in an apartment temporarily while we plan our 2026 life as… let’s call it nomadic drifters with a spreadsheet.
The plan (so far):
South Dakota → New York → Alaska → Czechia → Austria → UK.
Sounds dreamy, right?
Meanwhile I’m googling, “How fast can you get an appendectomy while crossing the Atlantic on an ocean liner?”
We’re doing all this without flights, which means I’ve become a full-time researcher of:
– Travel insurance
– Basic phrases in languages I can’t pronounce
– And how to pack for a 3-month fall-into-winter adventure without bringing the entire closet.
I have no idea if we’re doing any of this correctly… but we’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and every mistake in between.
Any packing tips for a 3-month trip? We’re accepting all suggestions - even the ridiculous ones.

We traded stuff for time.
Noise for peace.
“Normal” for intentional.
No regrets. 💛

Quick clarification for the new folks:
We didn’t move to South Dakota — we just became SD residents so we could travel more freely and simplify our life.
The real transformation wasn’t the paperwork.
It was the decisions leading up to it:
• downsizing
• becoming debt free
• investing
• letting go of clutter we didn’t need
• choosing time over things
Life didn’t get smaller.
It got lighter.
