Southern Velo again hosted the Dalton Grand Prix race weekend, serving as the Georgia State Championship event for the Road Race and Time Trial this year.
Big shoutout to Jonathan Sierra for masterminding the event, and to Topview Sports for promoting and organizing the racing. The race also serves as a fundraiser for the United Way of Northwest Georgia, generating over $100,000 for the community since we started the event a few years back.
Several club members were in the racing action, with some great results in hot conditions. Here's a look at the SV team results and some pictures.

Volunteers needed for the Dalton Grand Prix on Aug. 22-23. Looking for Corner Marshals, Drivers and Cleanup Crew. This is a great way to help the race be safe and successful, and it's also a convenient excuse to get out of racing if you're not feelin' it 😀.

Morning and afternoon shifts are open, and there is a signup link to keep track of things.

Corner Marshalls:
8/22 - 8:00-11:30am - Need 4 people
8/22 - 11:30am-4:00pm - Need 6 people
8/23 - 11:00am-2:30pm - Need 2 people

Cleanup crew
8/23 2:30pm-4:30pm - need 2 people

Lead Car / Follow Car Drivers:
8/22 - 8:00am-11:15am - need 3 drivers
8/22 - 11:15am-4:30pm - need 4 drivers

Nice way to help the club, work on your tan lines, and watch the races unfold.
