How long does it take to organize a kitchen? That's where we come in! 🍽️

During our virtual consultation, it's our job to walk through the space with you and give you an honest estimate of what it will really take. That's experience talking, so there are no surprises on project day.

A few highlights from this kitchen:

🔄 Corner cabinets are tricky! We asked a lot of questions about how this household uses their kitchen, then moved the dishes to the top and the plastic cups to the lower rotating cabinet.

🐰 Seasonal and less-used items went into a clear container above the microwave, out of the way but easy to spot.

☕ Tip: take your K-cups out of the box! Keep a week's worth by the coffee maker, and store backups somewhere easy to reach, like the pantry or a cabinet above, so restocking is simple.

Your garage doesn't have to be a disaster to need a reset! 🚗

This busy family's garage wasn't bad at all, but the zones had gotten mixed up. Between kids' sports, everyday gear, and a full schedule, they just needed everything easier to find and put away.

Here's what our team did:
✔️ Shifted items to where they make the most sense
✔️ Created clear zones for each category
✔️ Labeled everything so the whole family knows where things go
✔️ Cleaned it all up

The best part? We designed the systems around how they actually go in and out. Sports gear is right where they need it on the way to practice, and easy to drop off on the way back in. ⚽🏈

✨ Ready to embark on a new journey and merge your lives? Last fall, a client reached out as she and her significant other were getting ready to combine households and start a new chapter together. Our first step was her home.

Room by room, she chose what she loved and used, and these calm, open spaces are the result. 💛 And all those things she was ready to let go of? They're headed to new homes where they'll be loved and used all over again. 🙌

Sometimes the best part of getting organized is what happens long after we leave. A client recently emailed me:

"You guys worked with me two years ago, and I said then that it was
life changing, and it still is!

Yesterday I needed my social security card and passport and was
momentarily panicked because I wasn't sure where they were. Went into
my office to find a neatly labeled folder holding everything. It was
so easy! Sounds simple but honestly saved me a lot of anguish.

Your service is like the gift that keeps on giving. I'm grateful
Thanks again!"

I love that last part: the gift that keeps on giving! That’s what we mean when we talk about creating systems that work for real life.

Today marks 25 years since 9/11. I think most of us can still remember where we were when we heard the news and how profoundly that day changed our country.

Today is a day to pause, remember, and give thanks to the people who have served and continue to serve our country and our communities.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with military families, veterans, first responders, teachers, and other public servants. Supporting those who spend so much of their lives supporting others is something I care deeply about. It’s one of the reasons I offer a discount to military, veterans, first responders, teachers, and other public servants.

I try to do my small part by making our services accessible to those who serve, sharing what I know when I can, and using my business as one way to give back.

On Monday evening, I’ll have the opportunity to present virtually to the Wounded Warrior Project for the third time, and I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute in this small way.

Today, I’m simply remembering those we lost on 9/11 and expressing my gratitude to those who have served, sacrificed, and continue to serve.

Today, we remember. And we give thanks to those who serve.🙏

We’re excited to share that Miranda has been promoted to Operations & Client Care Coordinator! 🎉

If you’ve called or emailed Decluttered recently, there’s a good chance you’ve already connected with Miranda. She has become an important part of the day-to-day experience our clients have with Decluttered, helping answer questions, coordinate schedules, and make sure our clients feel taken care of from their first interaction with us. In her new role, Miranda will support our clients and operations across all four states we serve: Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Over the past year, Miranda has also become an invaluable part of our team behind the scenes, bringing organization, reliability, and a thoughtful approach to everything she does. We’re thrilled to recognize her hard work and growth with this new role.

As the school year has started, I'm thinking about all the routines that help make these first few weeks go a little smoother.
