Many individuals that do not have limitations in function or pain, may have abnormal findings on MRI's as well as other forms of imaging. On the other side just because you were diagnosed with a certain pathology through imaging does not mean that surgery is the only option to return to pain free use of the injured area. Say hello to Evy! She is a high school graduate and soccer star rehabbing her ACL/Meniscus Repair prior to her upcoming first year playing at the collegiate level. At 3+ months, the risk of ACL re-injury drops significantly after surgery and we can start to push for more strengthening as well as re-training her motor engrams (memorized brain patterns) for sport-specific motions. Caution is still placed on injury site at this phase and physiological stress is gradual, but needed! What a champ! We are so proud of you!

"When I first went to see Ashley Bradford at Rehab Etc. in Collierville, the right side of my lower back and hip was the chronic pain. I had trouble sleeping and didn’t feel like doing anything, especially exercising and stretching. Ashley started doing dry needling therapy in the painful area. I immediately got relieved with the pain and discomfort. She worked on these trigger point area twice a week for 4 weeks and with each segment of these treatments, I felt better and better. I gained more flexibility and increase range of motion, which helped me to be more active in exercising, stretching, cycling, gardening and most of all having more energy.
I am a strong advocate in dry needling. It is effective in healing the area of pain so that you can rebuild the strength back in the muscle area. I had no side effects with these procedures. Most of all, what I liked about it is that the healing process happened without taking medication.
I can say with confidence, that Ashley is a highly trained therapist. She is realistic, patient, and respectful of my treatment options. Her caring, compassion and dedication to insure me of the best possible outcome is much appreciated. I can’t say enough about her professionalism and friendliness which is best of both worlds. This! Such a good article! If you haven’t had anyone look at your form, do it! Have your PT look at the way you squat, the way you run. Don’t just ignore pain, fix it!! Now is a great time while everyone is ramping up for the season!
