Everyone has a story about cancer - you've lost a loved one, fought in yourself, seen a friend suffer through it. I wanted to find a way to give back and support all those who have been impacted by cancer.
I had the pleasure of emceeing the Relay for Life event last weekend in Canon City. It was a really cool opportunity to be part of the event planning committee and successfully running the FIRST EVER Relay for Life in Custer and Fremont Counties! Even the mayor stopped by to show his support and give a generous donation.
I would encourage everyone to find a local event in your community that you can about supporting and get involved. If you can't find what you're looking for, then find the resources to start it locally.

I had an amazing opportunity Thursday night to host and sponsor the Royal Gorge Young Professionals. I was amazed to hear everyone's stories and how they are not only dedicating time and energy in their careers as entrepreneurs and all-star employees, they also give so much of their time to the community. Many are involved with more than one board, committee, volunteer event, non-profit organization, and much more in their "free time." The best customer is the one you already have. Building systems, follow through, and discipline to interact with you current clients and customers is often the best way to build your business. Stop chasing deals and dumping money into finding new potential customers who you have to start from square one telling your story and pitching your products with a low conversion rate. Focus on those who already know, like, and trust you.
