Hello dance friends, here we go. Announcing the 5th Gold Star Achievement Ball. This year we are adding more social dancing for spectators that are there supporting, and a show dance category with routines choreographed by coaches from around the country. Can't wait to see you all there. :)

Gold Star Achievement Ball This is a local Colorado event promoting amateur partnership dancing. Offering medal exams for Bronze and Silver dancers.

A deeply appreciative thank you to everyone that participated in this years Gold Star Achievement Ball. The showcase presentations were so moving and filled with emotion and beautiful story telling. John Sinnott and Tasha Sumpter's performance of Cold a Night Club Two Step depicting Chris Stapleton's song Cold was emotional, passionate and full of grit, your performance was exquisite. Thank you John & Tasha you both were so stunning. Ballroom Brilliance performed two Ladies Formation routines. These ladies years of performing together has brought a level of maturity that is rarely seen these days. The costuming, choreography and performance of "Arizona Waltz" and "Swing Medley" was inspiring and so very entertaining. Thank you Jennifer Shirokov for your masterful direction of these beautiful ladies. Katy Quinn & myself Brad Ackerman danced a Viennese Waltz to The Greatest Showman's Tightrope. This song speaks to our hearts as both of us hope to live our lives in a great adventure. Katy this was your best performance of this routine and I was so honored to be by your side. The final showcase of the day was Todd Hansen and Janell Bradberry. Your Paso Doble was powerful and heart throbbing. You're such beautiful dancers full of passionate reason, your reason gives us all reason to continue dancing and striving for more. Thank you both for this amazing performance. We had a little over a hundred entries, we presented seven full bronze certificates of achievement to five of the most beautiful women here in Colorado Springs. To all the volunteers, officials, dance schools and dedicated dance professionals. Humbly thank you for making this new event a possibility.

Colorado Springs has so many diverse and talented people that have dedicated their lives to Partnerhip Dance. I hope you will consider attending to support these beautiful people.

We are three weeks away from this unique event. You are invited to come support local dance professionals help their students with dancing through their medal exams. Thank you so much to all of the students that have entered this years event. We are ready and honored to support your journey. Can't wait!

Save the date for the next Gold Star Achievement Ball.

The final section for the Gold Star Achievement Ball happens tomorrow night Wednesday April 27th @ 7pm. Congratulations to all students that participated in Saturdays Achievement Ball. The evaluators have completed their assessments and we are now ready to present to you your results. But first there will be a presentation of showcase routines, several Pro/Am teams will dance choreographed routines from Lindy Hop to Tango. The awards presentation will follow and then we will have an opportunity to dance with other dancers from the community during the social dance. Tickets are on sale, $20 per person and will be available to purchase at the door. The location of the event is at the International Dance Club.
