Have you heard of frozen shoulder or frozen hips? Did you know that it is caused by peri/menopause? Estrogen helps lubricate or joints to help them move, once we start losing estrogen our joints can get achy and even âfreezeâ (limit movement). This can be painful and very frustrating on top of all the other symptoms!
But, guess what?? There is a way to prevent frozen shoulders hips etc and keep your body moving like it should and help get rid of the pain/tightness etc!
Strength training and using resistance bands to warm up and doing supersets with the bands during the workout. When doing band work properly, and building strength you will be unstoppable and those frozen shoulders/ hips/joints donât stand a chance!

Looking at doing this trail for my Wellness Retreat in September in Breckenridge. Beautiful fall colors, waterfalls, lakes, and a gulch!
Those that want a shorter hike can go to the waterfall, a little longer can go to the first lake, for a great workout you can go all the way to the second lake đ.

This weekend I will be training with the company that helped me program âpain freeâ content for my clients, helping with not only injury prevention but also ways to help with current injuries and have several of my clientâs become pain free!!
This new training is going to be another game changer for my clients and I canât wait to come back with all the knowledge and hands on information this will provide!!

I absolutely love when I get a message in my inbox reminding me of why I do what I do!! Women belong in the weight room/lifting weights/etc!! Helping women feel confident in their skin, lift with proper safe form, and feel awesome doing it!! Wooohooo
âLori- Iâve been going to the YMCA with a friend and I just want to say thank you!! All those years ago when I began WOW with you the weight room scared me and I didnât want to set foot in there. Now, all these years later I have confidence in myself and I can get a good workout in without questioning how to properly do things but more importantly knowing that I belong in the weight room just as much as the next person. This is something you helped me with so many years ago! Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. đâ

The start of a new four week weight training session is like Christmas for me đ. Iâm so excited to show everyone the new workouts I have created, teach all the new proper form, watch eyes light up (or dim depending on the exercise..lol), and watch everyone give it their all!! A little soreness the next day might be the icing on the cake (even though soreness does not decide if a workout is good or not)!!

Look what I got đ. This course was pretty intense and took time to get it done, but I am so happy that I can help more and more women thru this stage!

The best part of being in the fitness business, is being able to follow someone along in their journey. Several start nervous, uncomfortable, and don't feel like they belong. So many have a story when they walk in a gym.
Maybe they are having a hard time with a spouse, maybe they had a death in the family, maybe their insecurities have gotten the best of them, maybe they put themselves last for far too long, maybe they feel like they don't belong, or maybe it has just been a while since they have been in the gym, if ever.
The beauty as a fitness professional is we get to see changes every single day in that person. We see sadness and despair turn to happiness and strength over time. We see exercise saving marriages, helping people thru the death of a loved one, we see someone who was insecure walk into a gym like they own the place, we see those that thought they were weak feel strong for the first time maybe ever.
This journey brings so much joy, and everyone's journey means the world to me!
20+ years in this business and I am so thankful for every single client that has crossed my path, let me be a small part of their journey, and has blessed me with the joy of knowing that maybe just maybe I made a difference in their life. There is no greater joy!
