Colorado Youth Cup #7
@ Denver Fencing Center

Our young fencers competed today in last in this season Colorado Youth Cup.
They competed in Y10, Y12, and Y14 mixed epee categories.

In Y10 Mixed epee William Bush faced Aramis Anderson (both DFC) and he won this final bout 10:8 and finished this event with gold medal.
Alice Heyes finished 3rd, Julian Gumer 6th, and Cora Haffey 7th (all DFC).
In Y12 Mixed epee Savannah Fiedor (DFC) finished 3rd, after losing her semi-final bout 9:15 to Sloan Kane (NCF).
Julian Gumer (DFC) finished 8th, and Logan Kelley (RMFA) 9th.
In Y14 Mixed epee first place goes to Michael Gurolnick (DFC) who in his final bout won 15:12 over Enea Martegani (NCF).
Laurel "Amber" Kent (RMFA) finished 3rd, Nicholas Emerson (DFC) 6th.

Well done kids! Congratulations!!!

CO Youth Cup #6
@ South Denver Fencing Academy, Centennial, CO

Today our young fencers competed in the Colorado Youth Cup #6 held by South Denver Fencing Academy.
In Y10 Men's epee competed only two fencers.
One of them was our youngest student William Bush (DFC) who won this event after winning his final bout 8:7 over Dashiel Duffy (NCF).
In Y14 Mixed epee Luca Inghilterra (DFC) this time he had to acknowledge his opponent's superiority in the final bout for gold.
He lost this bout 10:15 to Enea Martegani (NCF) and finished this event with silver medal.
Laurel "Amber" Kent (RMFA) finished 5th, Nicholas Emerson 8th, and Savannah Fiedor (both DFC) 10th.
Savannah also competed in the Y12 Mixed epee and she finished this event in the 6th position.

Glon & Strzalkowski Charity Tournament
@ FAD, Littleton, CO

This is the first inaugural Glon & Strzalkowski Charity Tournament! Tournament is open to all senior fencers.
Our athletes competed in many various events.
Henny and Calev Isaacson's competed in foil events and they did pretty well.
In Senior Mixed foil Calev (RMFA) won this event after beating 15:14 Eliot Schwitzer (DFC). His sister Henny finished this event in the 3rd place.
In Senior Women's epee Henny took first place after winning her final bout 15:14 over Nadine Shade (NCF).
In Seniors Mixed epee first place goes to Devin Tafoya (SchlhouseFen) who won 15:12 over Barrett Celecki (DFC).
Miles Marencik finished 3rd, Eliot Schwitzer 5th, and Ronan Schneider (all DFC) 6th.

C & Under Epee/Foil
@ South Denver Fencing Academy, Centennial, CO

One of the last tournaments before Summer Nationals in Portland , OR, show us where we are at this moment, and what we need to work on to be ready for the most important competition this season.
It goes really well, but there are still some things we need to work on, and make it works better.
Anyway, in Seniors Mixed epee event in the semi-final bout we did have three of our fencers. In first semifinal bout Miles Marencik won 15:7 over his teammate Eliot Schwitzer (both DFC), in the second semi-final Luca Inghilterra (DFC) won 15:11 over Ethan Yang (SDFA).
So, in the bout for gold Luca beat Miles 15:5 and finished this event in the first place.
Michael Gurolnick finished 5th (and upgrade his ranking to "E"), Fernando Hermandez 7th, Timothy Bruno 8th (all DFC), Calev Isaacson 9th, Colin MacMillan 10th, Zachery Alvey 12th, Stephen Bargeron 14th, and Henny Isaacson 16th (all RMFA).
Henny and Calev also competed in the Seniors Mixed Foil where they finish 6th and 7th respectively.

E & Under Epee and Foil
Windsor Recreation Center, CO

When young fencers competed at the RYC/RCC tournament the rest of our fencers competed at the E & Under Epee and Foil competition in Windsor, CO.
In his debut (first competition evert) Stephen Bargeron (RMFA) our young student turned out to be the best of all the fencers competing in the Senior Mixed epee event, and finished this competition in the first place, and became finally an ranked fencer with Rank E.
I his final bout for gold he won 15:10 over Joshua Miller (HPFG).
Competing in the same event Shonali Simoes (DFC) finished 7th.
Congratulations!!!

RYC/RCC of the Rockies Spring
@ Denver Fencing Center, Denver, CO

Last day of the RYC/RCC of the Rockies Spring.
Today we competed in Y14 Men's epee event.
Another day and another victory for Luca Inghilterra (DFC).
In the final bout of the competition he fenced against James Davidson (Wasatch FC) and he won this bout 15:9, and end-up competition with second gold medal.
Ronan Schneider finished 5th, Michael Gurolnick 7th, and Nicholas Emerson 12th (all DSFC).

RYC/RCC of the Rockies Spring

Day two of the RYC/RCC of the Rockies Spring.
Today we competed in Cadet Men's epee, and Y12 Women's epee.
In the Y12 Women's epee Savannah Fiedor finished this event in 6th place, and Jocelyn Fuller (both DFC) 7th.
Cadet Men's epee we did have three of our fencers finished in the top three places.
In first semi-final, Miles Marencik (DFC) won 15:5 over James Davidson (WasatchFC), in the second semi-final Luca Inghilterra won 15:12 over Eliot Schwitzer (both (DFC).
In the final bout for gold Luca beat Miles 15:14 and finished this event in the first place.
