Don’t become a victim this Holiday Season
Dennis Moore with the Colorado Springs Neighborhood Watch provides valuable information on how to keep you and your belongings safe this holiday season.
- Make eye contact with those around you
- Stay off the phone while shopping and walking to your car so you can be aware of your surroundings
- Keep you car doors locked at all times, even when filling your car with gas
- Walk to your car with your keys in your hand so you can quickly get into it
- If you drop off packages in your car while shopping and plan to go back into the store to shop some more, move your car so thieves think you’ve left the area
- Keep packages in your car covered
- Keep gifts away from your windows at home
- If you’re not going to be home when packages are delivered, have them dropped off at a friend or neighbors house
