Happy New Year! We’ll be doing some cool stuff in 2024!

Merry Sales Co. is the oldest bicycle company in North America. It was started in 1905 and originally sold bicycle as well as motorcycle parts. Eventually the bicycle division was split off and sold to the Porters, and the Porter family has been involved for around 100 years now.

Jim is the only third generation bike biz person we know of. His knowdledge of the business side of it is staggeringly large and broad. He also is a hell of a wealth of knowledge of the history of the biz too.

This video gives you a tiny glimpse into this wealth of knowledge and history inside the company. Someone could do an hour a day for 5 years with Jim and still just scratch the surface of what he knows.

Was invited to Trinidad, CO recently for a cycling symposium they hosted. The hospitality we experienced was beyond expectations. This community really wants to become a cycling destination as well as building a robust cycling community. More to come soon.
