I channeled my inner Carmen today with my high school students. We had a lesson on positive self talk, setting attainable goals, and writing/picking an inspirational quote or positive aspiration for this year ❤️. It made for a great first day of school!

➡️ If you’re anything like I was, and the other thousands of women out there working to prove that we can do it all, the answer is most likely never.⠀

🔀 Here’s where we’ve got that mixed up. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness and it in no way devalues our worth as a woman. Yes, I use to think that and it’s comes up so often with the female entrepreneurs and business leaders I work with. ⠀

➡️ Asking for help is actually sign of strength and wisdom. As women, we are not meant to do this alone- so why the f**k do we think that? Why do we isolate instead of reach out when life gets tough? Why do we say “I’ve got it” when inside we have no idea how we are going to get it all done? I’ll tell you what I use to think- I was afraid of letting others down, I was living up to some stupid set of expectations that were not even my own and I sourced all of my self worth as a women from doing and accomplishing things. ⠀

🍫 Fudgy Protein Brownies⠀
Servings: 9⠀
Nutrition Per Serving (1 brownie): ⠀
14g protein 29g carbs, 24g fat, 5g fiber⠀

▪️GET THIS:⠀
1 cup All Natural Peanut Butter⠀
4 Banana⠀
1/2 cup Cocoa Powder⠀
1/2 cup Chocolate Protein Powder⠀
1/2 cup Organic Dark Chocolate Chips⠀
1/2 cup Walnuts (chopped)⠀

▪️DO THIS:⠀
1️⃣Preheat oven to 350ºF (177ºC). Line a cake or loaf pan with parchment paper. In a small saucepan over low-medium heat, melt the peanut butter.⠀

2️⃣In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas, cocoa powder, protein powder and nut butter until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.⠀

3️⃣Pour into pan, sprinkle with walnuts and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving. Cut into 9 squares. ⠀

Somewhere along the way I stopped using tomatoes for my salsa and started using roasted red peppers. It’s pretty freaking good, so I thought I’d share!⠀

🌶 5 Ingredient Roasted Red Pepper Salsa⠀

▪️GET THIS:⠀
4 Roasted Red Peppers (grill or bake then peel off skin)⠀
1 Medium Yellow Onion⠀
1 Jalapeño ⠀
1 Small Bunch Cilantro ⠀
1 Lime Juiced⠀
Sea Salt & Black Pepper to Taste⠀

▪️DO THIS⠀
Pop all ingredients into the food processor and pulse to combine in the fridge until desired consistency is reach. ⠀

🌶 That’s it! Store it in the fridge in a sealed container for the week. ⠀

💥Honey Chili Meatballs⠀
Servings: 8⠀
Nutrition Per Serving: 23g protein, 24g carbs, 17g fat, 2g fiber⠀

▪️GET THIS:⠀
2 lbs Extra Lean Ground Chicken Beef or Turkey⠀
1 Yellow Onion (medium, chopped)⠀
4 Garlic (cloves, minced)⠀
2 Egg ⠀
2 tsps Sea Salt (divided)⠀
1/2 tsp Black Pepper⠀
1/4 cup Coconut Oil⠀
1 cup Organic Chicken Broth⠀
2/3 cup Tomato Paste⠀
1/2 cup Raw Honey⠀
2 tbsps Apple Cider Vinegar⠀
1 tbsp Chili Powder⠀
1/2 tsp Paprika⠀
1/2 tsp Ground Mustard⠀

▪️DO THIS:⠀
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350ºF (177ºC). In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, onion, garlic, egg, half the salt, and black pepper. Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches thick.⠀
2️⃣ Melt coconut oil in a large oven-safe pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Transfer to oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until cooked through.⠀
3️⃣ Meanwhile in a medium saucepan, combine chicken broth, tomato paste, honey, apple cider vinegar, chili powder, paprika, ground mustard and remaining salt. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.⠀
4️⃣ Remove meatballs from the oven. Evenly coat meatballs with sauce and divide into bowls. Top with chopped green onions (optional). Enjoy!⠀

💥Jalapeño Poppers⠀
Servings: 7⠀
Nutrition Per Serving: 19g protein, 4g carbs, 15g fat, 1g fiber⠀

▪️GET THIS:⠀
21 Jalapeno Pepper⠀
2 2/3 cups Goat Cheese⠀
12 1/3 ozs Prosciutto⠀

▪️DO THIS:⠀
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 400ºF (204ºC). Wash and dry the jalapenos. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Stuff each half with goat cheese (about 1 tablespoon per half).⠀
2️⃣ Wrap each jalapeno with prosciutto and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.⠀
3️⃣ Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy. Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!⠀
