Hunting has long been a tradition and it was something Iv taken my son to do since birth. He was always along side of me. Yesterday afternoon Keeler filled his first deer tag of many to come and is hooked. Proud beyond belief and grateful to have been able to teach him this wonderful way of life. 111.5 pound doe!!

Congratulations Landen Kroft!! He made the drive all the way from Ohio with the hope of harvesting a Maine black bear! We started the week slow with crappy conditions but made the best of it. Wednesday came and the weather broke. After a long cold trail they finally jumped him and put this beautiful boar in a tree. Landen you did one hell of a job to stick with it and made a perfect shot. Glad to spend the week with you and your brother!

The smile says it all. With light fading fast and the sinking feeling he wasn’t goin to see anything on the last day of the youth hunt, Isaias harvested this nice boar for his first Maine black bear at just 23 feet from the opening of his blind!! To say he is hooked is an understatement! Congratulations Isaias.

Thursday morning started off with a hot tom working his way in off the roost shaping up to be the quickest morning hunt either of us had ever had. Little did my client and I know about 1 min later our hunt would take a wild turn. The tom cut through the woods and popped out at 40 yards to our backs. Unbeknownst to us while waiting for the tom to show, a bobcat had been stalking us the entire time. As my client slowly tried to shift positions to get a shot I heard flapping and putting. I asked if there was a second tom and if they were fighting. As he was about to take the shot the tom had strutted just close enough to the cat and it jumped into mid air about 5 feet towards the tom and swatted him, luckily for the tom he got away as we sat there in aw of what had just taken place.

Brayden came to me with a sausage recipe he wanted to try using wild turkey. With that being said, we wasted absolutely no time getting him into the action. After working several different birds, we finally got two to cooperate! Congratulations on your first-ever turkeys!

Was a lights out morning with a three bird kind of day. Right off the bat a client and I made a move on a henned up gobbler. As we moved positions to get to a better calling spot two toms busted out gobbling 15 yards to our right coming up a grown in trail. With no time to think we sat and watched them come strutting up the path into 5 yards taking out both with one shot! Both birds 17 pounds 8 3/4 beards an inch spurs. Fast forward couple hours later, Isaias went on his fist ever turkey hunt this morning and got the full show as his tom (16 pounds, 3/4 inch spurs, and 9.5 inch beard) cam strutting in from 90 yards out gobbling every single step right into his lap. To say he is hooked is an understatement.
