Pre Nats on the Gans Creek Course. Nathan and I got to see Gavin run Cross Country for the first time in two years. Beautiful course and beautiful weather for running an 8K! (4.97 miles) Gavin ran a time of 25:10.4 placing 146/268 runners. Cross Country is not Gavin's primary sport, (he shines on the track 😀), but we are thrilled that he is able to compete at this level with the best of the best in what they do!

2024 Benton graduate Gavin Genisio is a freshman runner at the University of Tennessee. Recently Genisio accomplished a tremendous feat, he claimed the Volunteer Freshman all time indoor record in the 1K with a time of 2:26.15. The previous record standard was held by Alex Kay in 2020 with a time of 2:26.97. What a start Gavin is having at Tennessee! Tremendous accomplishment!

Our boy is officially a TN Vol! Move in day for distance boys was yesterday. We are so excited for this journey to begin, but will miss him so much!
