🏐 CLIPPERS SWEEP SOUTHERN 🏐

The Columbiana Clippers High School Volleyball teams had a great night on the court, as both the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads picked up victories over Southern.

The Varsity defeated the Indians 26-16, 25-11, 25-20 to improve to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the EOAC.
Varsity Stat Leaders:
• Landry Smith: 9 kills, 2 aces, 5 points, 1 dig
• Addisyn Dangler: 9 kills, 2 aces, 5 points, 2 assists, 2 digs
• Eva Waller: 1 kill, 1 ace, 8 points, 25 assists, 3 digs
• Keagan Pruitt: 2 kills, 5 aces, 15 points, 4 digs
• Ava Marks: 5 kills, 1 ace, 10 points, 4 digs
• Lily Jackson: 8 digs

The JV team defeated Southern 25-23, 25-13. They improve to 9-0.

The Columbiana Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball teams battled Salem tonight, with the 7th Grade Clippers earning a sweep while the 8th Grade Clippers fell in a hard-fought match.

The 7th grade won 25-16, 25-16. 7th grade stat leaders were Layla Rust (2 aces, 4 kills, 2 assists, 3 digs), Avery Eisenbraun (5 aces, 3 digs), Sydney Cunningham (5 aces, 3 kills, 1 dig), and Stella Snyder (1 kill, 1 dig).

The 8th grade lost 23-25, 17-25. Leading the 8th grade were Annabelle Booth (3 kills, 15 digs), Annabella Young (1 ace, 6 kills, 13 digs), Maria Lehnerd (2 aces, 5 kills, 5 assists, 4 digs), and Sophia Gomoll (2 aces, 5 kills, 8 assists, 8 digs).

Both teams play at home on Monday against Lisbon.

⛳️LADY CLIPPERS CLOSE REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN⛳️

The Columbiana Lady Clippers Golf Team wrapped up the regular season with a victory over United (175-195) at Edgewater Golf Course.

With the win, the Lady Clippers finish the regular season with an impressive 14-2 record.

The Lady Clipper Golf team traveled to the Crispin Golf Course At Oglebay Resort to compete in the OVAC Championship. The Clippers (393) were the 1A-3A OVAC Tournament Runner-Up. Claire Banner and Maddie Jackson made all conference by recording a top 5 finish.

The CMS volleyball teams both picked up victories over Southern Local tonight.

The 7th grade won 25-19, 20-25, 25-10 and improve to 11-1 on the season. 7th Grade Stat Leaders:

Tonight the Lady Clippers and Men’s Clipper soccer teams faced off against Edison and Heartland Christian. Both teams came away with victories.

The Lady Clippers had an outstanding performance against the Wildcats, winning 9 to 1. For the Clippers Josie Hepler had 4, Cami Jeffries had 2, and Karli Martin, Kendra Brown, and Aubrie Quetot each had 1.

The Boys won their contest 3 to 1. For the Clippers Rocco Mediate, Geoffrey Malcomson, and Jay Harrington all had 1 goal.

CLIPPER CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT SUBURBAN LEAGUE MEET

The Columbiana Clipper Cross Country teams competed today at the Suburban League Meet at the Youngstown State University Course in Canfield. Several Clippers earned top-30 finishes.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS - 86 runners competed in the race.
Kaitlin Benner — 5th Place
Sidney Schlueter — 13th Place
Sydney Webb — 28th Place
The high school girls team finished 4th overall.

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS - 97 runners competed in the race
Jace Zelonish — 3rd Place
Peyton Boggs — 11th Place
Carson Greene — 15th Place
Nolan Clark — 22nd Place
The high school boys team finished 3rd overall.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS - 110 runners competed in the race
Derrick Hepner — 9th Place
The middle school boys team finished 6th overall.

Congratulations to all of our Clipper runners on a great day of racing. The teams race again on Saturday at the Spartan Invitational.

The Columbiana Clipper Volleyball teams continued their strong start to the season with victories over East Palestine.

The varsity team defeated the Bulldogs 25-12, 25-23, 25-12. The varsity Clippers improve to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in league play. Clipper leaders were Eva Waller (28 assists, 8 digs, 1 kill, 1 ace), Keegan Pruitt (9 kills, 5 digs, 1 block, 1 ace), Addisyn Dangler (9 kills, 11 points, 1 block, 1 ace), Ava Marks (6 kills, 3 aces, 13 points, 9 digs), Landry Smith (6 kills, 5 points), and Hailee Gomoll (1 ace, 11 points, 8 digs).

The JV team won 25-10, 25-10. Leading the Clippers were Sylvia Rapp (4 kills, 1 block, 1 ace, 7 digs), Adelaide Garrett (5 aces, 4 assists, 6 digs), Annabelle Church (6 kills, 1 ace, 2 assists, 2 digs) and Briley Schmidt (2 aces, 12 points, 8 assists).

The Clippers are back on the court on Thursday when they host Southern Local.
