REM sleep is essential because it supports memory, learning, emotional processing, and overall brain health. It also plays a key role in mood regulation and mental clarity. Without enough REM sleep, you may feel more irritable, forgetful, and mentally drained.
In short, REM sleep is your brainโs time to restore, process, and recharge, making it just as important as physical rest for your overall wellbeing.
