🔦Sunday's Artist Spotlight: DJ Ayala

💠DJ Ayala:
Ayala aspires to create transformational experiences through music and facilitation. She has been the resident DJ for EDC for the past couple of years and has shared the stage with artists such as Soohan, David Starfire and Beat Kitty. She attended her very first ecstatic dance in Columbus many years ago. While living in California, she rediscovered ecstatic dance and the depth of its creation of connection and community. Upon moving back to Columbus she began facilitating and DJing for ecstatic dances. Some influences include Samadhi of Ecstatic Dance Evolution Network, the ecstatic dance LA community, and Soohan. Ayala intertwines a variety of genres throughout her sets to create a dynamic flow that compliments ecstatic dance journeys. Some of her current favorites are mega funk and bass.

📵Phone free space. Photographers and videographers will be at the event and special wristbands will be provided if you don't to be in any of the pictures or videos.
🎟Day of show = $30. Card, exact cash and Venmo are all acceptable forms of payment
🚫👟 No shoes on the dance floor unless you have a medical condition

🔦5.28 Facilitator Spotlight: Katy Kuhlman 💃

🎧Katy Kuhlman is the organizer and a resident DJ for Dance Your Soul, an ecstatic dance community in Northeast Ohio. A Licensed Massage Therapist trained in myofascial release and medical massage, Katy weaves a deep understanding of anatomy into her work as a somatic facilitator. She is currently a 5Rhythms® Teacher in Training, set to complete in November 2026, and shares guided practices for self-awareness, movement, and self-massage as a meditation teacher on Insight Timer.

🧘‍♀️Katy’s guided experiences range from grounding, self-connection practices to deep expansions of the self and explorations of the space around us. She focuses on bringing participants closer to their own truth, cultivating an appreciation for their feet on this earth and the breath in their lungs. Recognizing music as a powerful catalyst, Katy holds space for journeys fully realized to the tune of our breathing - and the silence between breaths.

🔊She cultivates musical waves to empower and excite the body, allowing movers to lean into trust through each new phase of their practice. Movers can expect to be held in presence and moved deeply 🕺

💡Sunday's Artist Spotlight: Lani G 🔥

🔷Lani G:
First generation Yoruba-American, born and raised in Alabama, Olaniyi Gaiusbayode is visual performing artist and DJ who specializes in various styles of dance ranging from African, Latin, Ballroom and Street. He has a wide interest in different genres of music, such as House, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk, Salsa, Bachata, Reggae ect. Throughout his career, he has worked with and serviced various companies and organizations such as The Lincoln Theater, The Berry & Nance Dance Project and Atrevidos Dance Company, Amazon, The Limited Brand ect, and is a current member of MKZ and I AM D.A.N.C.E LLC 🔥

As a creative artist, Olaniyi continues to grow and share his love of music & dance to the surrounding communities by performing, educating, and DJ'ing. His love for people wanting to facilitate spaces where they can enjoy themselves and each other through music and dance is a joy he continues to cultivate 🌟🙏
