⚽ COACH SPOTLIGHT: VINICIUS DA SILVA ⚽
Meet Coach Vinicius “Vini” da Silva, bringing more than 12 years of full-time coaching experience and a global perspective on player development to Sporting Columbus United.
Originally from Brazil, where soccer is deeply woven into the culture, Coach Vini has worked at the professional, high-level academy, and grassroots levels across the United States, Brazil, Spain, and Malta. He is proud to have former players now competing professionally throughout South America, Europe, and Asia.
His background includes:
⚽ ATFA/CONMEBOL A License
⚽ Degree in Physical Education
⚽ 12+ years as a full-time coach
⚽ Professional, academy, and grassroots experience
🌎 Coaching experience across four countries
Coach Vini is passionate about both the tactical and human sides of performance. He loves seeing how far players and teams can go when they are challenged and given the right environment to develop.
His approach is built around three core principles: passion, creativity, and a relentless work ethic.
For Coach Vini, soccer is also a school for life. The game teaches discipline, effort, leadership, teamwork, and lessons that players can carry with them long after they leave the field.
One of his favorite parts of coaching is reconnecting with former players years later and remembering the practices, trips, games, and experiences they shared along the way.
We’re excited to have Coach Vini bringing his experience, passion, and commitment to developing players and teams to Sporting Columbus United! 💙⚽
