Midwest Thunder Rd 5 at Buckeye was good to us!

All three cars on Saturday made A Mains!

Blake drove his tail off and went 9 to 3 in the Lt 160 B Main! The bumpy and rain interrupted A Main result didnt show how good he was. A questionable call against Blake and a broken tail cone pit stop resulted in a 9th place finish

Lt World Formula- finished 4th! Normally that is a celebration for our little team, but it was bitter sweet as Blake led lap 39 of 40 💔 His first senior regional podium IS coming 🙏💪

Cole drove his tail off and transferred from the Jr Honda B to the A and then went 8 to 4 in the A Main! Yes, he dominated in his win at Kokomo, but at Buckeye he showed he is more than a fast car. He passed so many cars and made so many good decisions in the A Main! It is extremely exciting watching him drive with confidence!

The rain won on Sunday!

Our last outdoor race of the year, God willing, will be at Toledo for the final Midwest Thunder race. We need some prayers for health and healing for dad before we can feel comfortable going out of town to make that happen. We have an army of QM families ready to get mom and the boys there and get the cars ready if we can go 🥹💙

Recap on an eventful Midwest Thunder weekend in Columbus to come...but for now it doesn't feel right because there are so many other things bigger than racing.We request for prayers for one of the best families we have met through this sport. Our hearts go out to the Decker family who lost their daughter this morning.

A Main 8th > 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heck of a drive through the field! A few more laps and he had that podium in sight. Youngest kid in that field turning some heads! 🥹

Buckeye update! Checking in from the fastest Midwest Thunder ever..! (Skipped practice due to incoming weather!)

It took some B Mains to get here...but...ALL THREE CARS ARE IN A MAINS!!! Go Blake and Cole!!!

Huge thank you to Ethan and Barry, our handlers today...they and mom have been working HARD to get cars on the track back to back with no breaks!

Blake and Cole had a GREAT race day in Indy!

Cole- Jr Honda
Heat- P2
Feature- P1 🏁

Blake- Robbie Stanley Memorial Lt 160 Race
Heat 2- P3
Feature P5 》 P3 🥉

The big Lt 160 feature was a 75 lap thriller (a normal A Main is usually 40 laps, but this race is a big deal!) Blake got shuffled back big time on the start, but picked cars off one by one to finish 3rd! This race went almost green to checkered, with some very fast and clean racing! Proud of this entire group for putting on a heck of a show!

Thank you Mini Indy QMC for hosting a great race, complete with killer driver goodie bags and amazing trophies! We appreciate all that they did to make this a special race day!

Blake's update on Midwest Thunder at Kokomo!

2 really great and one pretty bad...

The positives! Light World Formula (A Main video linked here ⬇️)! A MWT career high finish of 4th! With zero base set up for this car, Peter and Blake worked so hard to get this car good- we didn't throw the kitchen sink at it, we threw a dang bathtub at it, and by the 1:15am feature, it was awesome! Not too shabby for this mom and pop team with used tires :)

Sr Animal- P7 to P3 in the B Main, P9 to P5 in the A Main! (season high for MWT in this car!! He passed a lot of cars on Sunday!!

The bad...Blake's Lt 160 has been amazing this year! Unfortunately in the heat he got run over and had a flat. Car was never the same (thank you literally half of the field's dads got him back out there!!). In the B Main, he had a starting spot of 10th. Ugh. We were confident after an afternoon of repairs on this car that Blake had a good shot at transferring out of it. Well...he wasn't ever given that chance. Car would not fire off. Into the pits he went with an army of dads to get it rolling. They were in the pits maybe 10 seconds before they got it to fire off, but the RD said nope. Courtesy laps were not feeling very courtesy-ey for us. That ended his amazing A main streak in that car and has dropped him hard in points. Racing certainly has a way of humbling you real quick!

Blake starts 5th in the LWF A Main at 1:15am at Kokomo QMC Midwest ...
