Did you watch the Emmys / Television Academy the other day? Notice anything different? Columbus’ own Nina West made HERSTORY as the first person to walk the purple carpet in FULL DRAG. Not even mother RuPaul has done so. With much enthusiasm, we’re just as proud to announce that back by popular demand, Drag United will be making a return before year end. More details to come, but in the meantime, bravo Nina. Thank you for your continued strong representation of Columbus!

The event, entitled “Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader,” is happening on Thursday, October 24th at Ohio Avenue Elementary School. If you’d like to know more, please ask.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead
We are Pride United, a not-so-small group of LGBTQ individuals and our allies, who make broad community-wide change happen. Since 1990, we have directed over $6.7 million dollars through United Way of Central Ohio to LGBTQ organizations. We specifically support our community through our agency partners like Kaleidoscope Youth Center by focusing on the basic needs of our q***r youth, and promote young professionals to be future leaders of change through Project Diversity Pride Leadership.
We have one goal: To improve the lives of all Central Ohioans, but with an LGBTQ perspective. With our up and coming community survey, we aim to hear everyone’s voice. It takes passion, commitment and a desire to be a part of change, but the end result is worth the challenge. Want to know more? Comment or message us your questions. Together, let’s keep Central Ohio great!
