Ohio Concealed Carry Instruction

09/30/2023

Blessings and greetings to you all. I am preparing to start my gun safety/ccw classes up again, looking at October. I just wanted to get a feel if anyone is interested. Yes, I know Ohio has put in place constitutional carry but it is still advantageous to obtain your chl permit. And for those who just want to learn gun safety, we have you covered as well. Let me know, carry safe & carry on.

Well it has been a while, but here we are, and all is well. We are now taking sign ups for CHL/ gun safety classes at our website, www.calltoarmsinc.com
Even though Ohio is now a constitutional carry state don't let that stop you from getting that training. Be the responsible gun owner that they say we aren't. Carry Safe and Carry On, see ya in a class soon.

Look carefully at this photo, the editing was not done to make this picture “cool" but to highlight some aspects.

10 POINTS ON WHICH ANYONE CARRYING A FIREARM SHOULD REFLECT

1) we train in an environment (Shooting range) completely different from the environment in which we apply (Real Context).

2) The shooting range is a 2D environment, the real context is 3D environment.

3) In the shooting range the ballistic environment is almost always homogeneous in the real context it is always heterogeneous.

4) The target in the training environment is almost always foreknown, easy to discriminate, always vertical and on the same level as us.

5) Whatever drill we do, we will always be the first to move (action), the first to shoot, the only to shoot.
In the real world, we will probably move for seconds (reaction), maybe we will not shoot first, and we will not be the only ones shooting. So, in training we train ourselves to "ACT" but in the real context our life will probably depend on REACTING.

6) We almost always train during daylight, but most violent crimes occur in the evening or at night, when darkness or low light characterizes the context. Daylight and low light are completely different environments.

7) We almost always feel pleasure and fun when we train with our fi****ms at the range, but we will not feel any of this if we are forced to use fi****ms in the real context. We will feel fear, perhaps terror and we will be hit by what is the Stress Stroke which characterizes every LTS (Life Threatening Situation).

8 ) Most of the times we start shooting from upright position, but we have no guarantee that this happens in the real context, where in everyday life we adopt many other positions useful for carrying out actions such as: eating, resting, driving, sleeping, etc.

9) The shooting range is a controlled and safe environment because it was built to use fi****ms safely, there are safety rules that everyone respects.
The real context is an uncontrolled environment, there are rules (laws), but we are the only who must respect them, a criminal is such because he has already decided to break them, so a criminal has not rules.
The real context is not built to use fi****ms safely, so there is a very high risk of collateral damage with every shot that goes off in that environment.

10) In training you can and must repeat an action when you have made a mistake, in the real context you will have only one attempt and it must be your best performance because it will be unrepeatable and could determine the life or death of all those involved in the event, starting with yours.

Be aware of who you ARE not who you think you are...

TRAIN HARD, TRAIN EFFECTIVELY !!!
