We’re starting to think about this year’s National Night Out in Franklinton—and we’d love your input.

In the past, this has been a big, highly organized event made possible by a lot of planning, sponsorships, and dedicated leadership. We’re really grateful for everyone who’s made those events happen.

This year, we’re wondering: what if we tried something simpler?

Instead of a large-scale production, we’re exploring a more relaxed, community-driven approach—think ice cream socials, cookouts, or block parties. Less logistics, less pressure, and more focus on what really matters: neighbors connecting and spending time together.

Nothing is decided yet, and that’s the point—we’re looking for folks who want to help shape what this could look like and build a plan that feels sustainable and shared.

The next West Side Coffee & Conversation is set for Friday, December 12 at 9am at the Glenwood Community Center (1888 Fairmont Ave, 43223). The guest speakers will be representatives from 311, who will give a short presentation and answer questions.
