Franklinton Area Commission
Building a stronger Franklinton together. The Franklinton Area Commission was created by the Columbus City Council nearly twenty years ago.
Serving the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio by representing residents, supporting community development, and advising the city on zoning, planning, and neighborhood priorities. We serve as a liaison between neighborhood groups, property owners, residents, developers, and city officials.

We’re starting to think about this year’s National Night Out in Franklinton—and we’d love your input.
In the past, this has been a big, highly organized event made possible by a lot of planning, sponsorships, and dedicated leadership. We’re really grateful for everyone who’s made those events happen.
This year, we’re wondering: what if we tried something simpler?
Instead of a large-scale production, we’re exploring a more relaxed, community-driven approach—think ice cream socials, cookouts, or block parties. Less logistics, less pressure, and more focus on what really matters: neighbors connecting and spending time together.
Nothing is decided yet, and that’s the point—we’re looking for folks who want to help shape what this could look like and build a plan that feels sustainable and shared.
If you’re interested in being part of the conversation, reach out. Let’s make something great together.
