I'm teaching Capiah to wait @ all doors so I can keep him safe! However, this exercise is really about training him to respect my position as his Alpha leader and look to me for guidance in all things. He is nearly 13 years old so don't let anyone tell you that you can't teach an old dog new tricks! It takes patience and diligence!

I want to share how I am training Capiah. This exercise is about teaching him to respect me as his Alpha leader! It's a very important exercise to teach because you need your dog to always be safe and look to you for guidance! Generally Capiah does pretty well, but I want a far more solid - "STAY / WAIT" than I am getting from him now. I'm working on getting him to wait for ME to release him rather than he's trying to get away with releasing himself right now. So we are going to work on that.
