We're proud to announce that Veronica Fazio has been named Recreation Manager !
Veronica Fazio is originally from the Chicagoland area but, after falling in love with its rolling hills and slower pace, has called southern Indiana home for close to 15 years. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, playing roller derby with the Columbus Terrorz, hiking and camping with her husband and two dogs, and spending time with her five cats.
Veronica is excited to continue the department's tradition of providing excellent, accessible recreation programs for the community while also bringing her passion for environmental education to the role and introducing more nature-based programming.
"Veronica has served with the City for several years in a variety of roles. Her passion and experience has been put to good use both at Animal Care Services and with Parks and Recreation at Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena. I am both excited for her to step into this new role and for the community to have someone serving them with her level of passion, strong leadership and equitable vision in the Recreation Manager Role" says Jacob Hendricks, Associate Director of Recreation.
