Back in Sept of 2023 David Henderson came up from Georgia to race in Ohio with me. It’s been forever since we’ve raced against each other. He was on his Kawi 636 and I’m on my 1199. David was doing great times all weekend and I was off by 2 secs still trying to get use to the big v-twin motor. By Sunday I was only 1 sec off his pace. We entered into the Senior Superbike class together and he was able to beat me. Although I kept him in sight until I realized I had no drive going onto the back straight with improper gearing, so him and others would walk me out of the long right hand carousel. In hindsight I could of dropped it down a gear, but to be honest my bike felt so violent coming out of that corner, I was a high side waiting to happen. I decided to play it safe and fight another day! I’ll have my revenge soon David! 😜 Overall, he raced one hell of a race and it was so fun to be on track with him again, and this time on big/fast bikes! Sorry David, don’t have any pics of you on track but if I find some I’ll post it up here.

Finished up doing a top end rebuild on the NSF Takegawa motor! Happy to see that racing it all year the cylinder and piston really didn’t look too bad!

It’s almost time get get back on track here in Ohio… getting the mini ready and then the Ducati next!

Well, I know I haven’t updated what’s been going on for a while with the mini build. It’s been running well and winning races. I’m currently first place in both our clubs GP2 and GP3 class. The GP2 class has Ohvale 160’s in it as well as a few Groms and my bike. The GP3 class is what my bike is built for and has the Ohvale 110’s and my bike racing in it.

The one thing I might switch is the carb. The PWK28mm is a major pain in the ass to tune. The carb I ran on my last bike was much easier to tune. So, I’ll probably be getting a PE28mm round slide for it soon unless I can find something else. It could also be the short exhaust causing issues.. I’ll look into it and see what I find out.

The NSF project is almost complete! Just need to add the chain, hook up the electronics and clutch cable. Then she will be good to go! I know, the rear tire is mounted backwards, it will get fixed before I race it. But man, the new livery is looking good! 🔥 what do you all think?
