SUNBURY - On Friday, November 14, 2025, at 7 p.m., the Eagles will host Canal Wi******er in the OHSAA Division II Regional Semifinal in the biggest home football game in school history, and one that demands every ounce of community support.
Both teams enter the game at 10–1, with Big Walnut earning the No. 1 seed in Region 7 and Canal Wi******er coming in as the No. 4 seed. It’s a heavyweight clash with a trip to the regional final on the line, and Big Walnut needs its community behind it like never before.
And here’s the urgent reality: the only way to truly experience this game is to be in the stadium.
The matchup is only being broadcast live on the Spectrum Network for a subscription fee, and OH Report is restricted to a tape-delayed broadcast. If you want to feel the hits, hear the crowd, ride the momentum, and be part of a once-in-a-generation atmosphere, you have to be there in person.
Big Walnut is calling on every student, every family, every alumnus, and every supporter.
“We need a packed house. We need every voice. Our student-athletes deserve for this place to be rocking. They have worked so hard all year for this moment,” said Athletic Director Brian Shelton.

Big Walnut Youth Sports > Home Big Walnut Youth Sports
We are excited to announce the new Big Walnut Youth Sports Organization. We are a non profit organization with the mission to unite all youth sports in our community, so we can provide the best experience possible for our families, and most importantly, our players.
By bringing the youth sports organizations together, we will be able to provide better communication through our new website, bigwalnutyouthsports.com. Here, you will be able to register for upcoming seasons as well as get information on camps, clinics and other activities. Families will be able to see combined schedules for players in multiple sports to help them stay organized during the busy seasons.
Player safety is the highest priority for all of us. Big Walnut Youth Sports will be partnering with the National Alliance for Youth Sports (www.nays.org) to provide each coach with annual training and certification. This partnership will enable BWYSO to provide more opportunities for coaches and allow each sport to share resources, so all volunteers will have the best information and training available.
Over the next few months, we will be sending out information as programs come on board and registration for upcoming seasons open.
