AR Swish Squad Weekend Recap
Saturday at IGN Academy
The Swish Squad hit the court this weekend, and let’s just say, it was a day to remember!
Game 1: AR Swish Squad vs. Red River
The girls started slow, but once they found their rhythm five minutes in, it was all gas, no brakes. The starters set the tone, playing strong and creating opportunities for everyone off the bench to contribute.
The standout players of the game were Zar (3) and Caira (8). Caira has been putting in work all year, and she made her intentions clear—she’s here to step up. And step up she did! Whether she was grabbing rebounds in the paint or hustling on the ground for loose balls, Caira proved exactly what we’ve always known—she’s a force to be reckoned with.
Zar was unstoppable. Her speed allowed her to slice through defenders, scoring basket after basket. She didn’t just dominate the fast break; she showed her range, knocking down shots from beyond the arc. These two were on fire, and it was inspiring to watch.
Game 2: AR Swish Squad vs. iSO Joe Elite (6th Grade Girls)
This one was tough. We faced a skilled and disciplined team that handed us a humbling loss. Their defense shut us down, and their offense was like watching our own future potential in action.
I reminded the girls that we won’t win every game, and sometimes the toughest losses are the ones that teach us the most. We’ll use this experience to identify areas to improve and come back stronger. Losses are lessons, and we’re taking this one in stride.
This week, we’re back in the lab, sharpening our skills and building on our strengths. Next stop: Winter Wonderland in Memphis, TN.
Special shoutout to Zar and Caira for their incredible performances! Keep grinding, Swish Squad. The journey is just getting started!

AR Swish Squad Weekend Recap
Saturday:
Swish Squad hit the court for TTG League play, taking on NSJ Elite of LR. From the first whistle, Swish Squad showed up ready to dominate. Their impressive lead allowed the entire bench to get valuable playing time—a testament to the team’s depth and cohesion.
This week, the Squad welcomed a new addition, Adalyn “Addy” Parsons, who joined on Thursday. Addy (15) wasted no time proving she was a perfect fit. An all-around powerhouse, she displayed her ability to handle the ball, read the court, rebound, block out, and—most impressively—shoot with precision.
Kanique (6) also made waves this weekend, showcasing remarkable growth on defense and solidifying her role as a team leader. Her offensive skills, combined with her defensive improvements, are turning her into a formidable force on the court.
And the result? Another win for Swish Squad!
Sunday:
Early morning games can be tough, and the girls started off a bit sluggish—except for Jadyn (2). She hit the ground running, ready to compete from the jump. Knocking down three-pointers, stealing the ball, and leading fast breaks, she brought her A-game and inspired her teammates to follow suit.
Tristen (14) continues to elevate her game each week. Her post play was phenomenal, as she snagged nearly every rebound, attacked the lane to draw fouls, and kept her hands up to block shots. Fearless and determined, she isn’t intimidated by size or height—she’s ready to take on anyone.
And once again, Swish Squad walked away with another win.
A big shoutout to the bench and the entire team for their hunger and drive. This squad is focused, determined, and ready to take on whatever comes their way.
Stay tuned—this team is only getting started!

Sunday Recap:
The AR Swish Squad had one game on Sunday, and they made it count, defeating Chosen-1 with a score of 31-15. It’s nearly impossible to pick a Player of the Day because every single player stepped up and delivered.
Our starting five came out strong, as they always do, setting the tone early. But it was the off-the-bench talent that truly stole the show. Every player who hit the court brought relentless energy on both ends of the floor.
Loose balls? They chased every single one.
Fast breaks? They shut them down.
Rebounds? They claimed them.
Layups? They finished them.
Assists? Everyone pitched in.
With each game, their skills and chemistry continue to grow, leaving no doubt about what’s to come in March. This Sunday, we’re celebrating the entire squad. Congratulations, ladies—you’ve earned it! AR Swish Squad Azizen
