TTU Chem-Med Club

Last CHEM-MED meeting of the semester! Join us for the student panel! You will hear from 7 current Tech students/recent graduates who have recently been accepted to health professional graduate school in the following areas:
Medicine (MD and DO)
Dentistry
Physician Assistant
Physical Therapy
Pharmacy
Dentistry
These students will answer your questions about the paths that they have taken to get accepted to health professional graduate school. Bring your questions and get ready!!!

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7, at 11 AM in SLH 126. We will elect officers for the next academic year.

Please consider nominating a peer or self-nominating for on of our 5 offices:

Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Historian

Even if you do not plan to run for office, you can vote for you peers, so please join us! If you need to work on LEADERSHIP skills before applying to professional school, taking on a leadership role in Chem Med could be a great place to start!

Our Guest Speaker is Dr. Caleb Cantrell, MD! He is a TTU alumni and attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTHSC). As of now he works at DeKalb Community Hospital and serves as the Medical Examiner for DeKalb County. We will also be selling graduate cords for $5. We hope to see you there!

This Meeting will be about Personal Statements! We will:
- Discuss the framework and tips for writing a strong personal statement
- Allow time to start brainstorming and writing
- Misery Loves Company after all!!!
- Bounce ideas off of peers and Mrs. Carrick if desired!!

Stop by the LSC South Atrium this Thursday, February 12th from 9am-12pm. We will be selling Hot Chocolate and Baked Goods for 1 dollar! Hope to see you there!

Join Us at dead hour for the First Chem-Med Club meeting of the Spring Semester! Our guest speaker is Ms. Rhonda Barnes, PharmD. Dr. Barnes did her Pre-pharmacy coursework at TTU and attended Pharmacy school at Mercer University College of Pharmacy. She is the Owner/Partner at Sparta Drug Center and Spencer Drug Company.

Chem-med club meeting tomorrow 11/18 at 11am! Hannah Cross, the Health Educator from Putnam County Health Department and Janet Lawlor, the Regional Dental Director from Upper Cumberland Regional Health Center will be presenting. We would love to see you there!
