JUNE 24th - 28th with culminating performance on June 29th @ 730pm

This will be a SUPER fun workshop for intermediate and advanced, pre-professional dancers.

SCHEDULE:
9am to 1030am Horton inspired Contemp/Modern technique taught by Peter Kalivas

1045-1215pm PGK DANCE rep (a group work) Directed by Peter assisted by 2 PGK DANCERS

1230pm-2pm PGK DANCE rep (a different group work) Directed by Peter with 2 PGK DANCERS

230–4pm The PGK DANCEMAKERS Project - for choreographers who want to either create a new or work on a pre-existing work (solos, duets, bring their own dancers) directed by Peter Kalivas. The works or excerpts could be included in the final performance but not guaranteed. The first 30 minutes is lecture followed by work with outside assignments.

LOCATION: Our Clairemont Mesa Blvd Studio location (not far from Mesa College)

CoSA Dance Presents: The Space Between Us, On Demand! | Coronado School of the Arts

It's show week! Usually we're in the theater all day, everyday during show week, but this year things look a little different. We are very excited to share news of our digital dance concert, "The Space Between Us." It is streaming on demand starting tomorrow and through the weekend. Perfect date night material! The concert's run time is about 36 minutes.

This semester, five courageous students and five faculty choreographers took on creating dances over Zoom for our full ensemble. In November, we spent two weeks filming our 10 dances in 10 different outdoor locations around Coronado and San Diego (perhaps you saw us doing our thing around town!). The result is a beautiful display of our students' talent and hard work. I am extremely proud of them.
