At HYSL, the safety and well-being of our athletes will always be our top priority.

Beginning immediately, all HYSL coaches will be required to complete a background check before coaching in any of our leagues. Once completed, the background check will remain valid for one year and will cover participation across all HYSL sports.

We believe this is an important step in creating a safe, positive environment for every child and family who participates in our programs. While no screening process can guarantee safety or eliminate all risks, background checks are one of many measures we are implementing to help protect the children entrusted to our care.

We also recognize that the vast majority of our coaches are dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to mentor and encourage our athletes. This requirement is not about questioning their character—it is about establishing consistent standards and demonstrating our commitment to the families we serve.

Thank you to our incredible coaches for your willingness to complete this process, and thank you to our parents for trusting HYSL with your children. Together, we can continue building a league that is fun, competitive, and, above all, safe.

Our Summer 2026 Flag Football Raffle Fundraiser is almost over, and we need everyone’s help to finish strong!

🎟️ Keep selling those raffle tickets! Every ticket sold helps support HYSL and allows us to continue providing great experiences for our players and families.

📅 IMPORTANT REMINDER: All sold tickets and money must be turned in by Tuesday, June 30th, so we can prepare for the raffle drawing that day.
