Texas Shock 2k15 traveled to Rosenberg, Texas this weekend for the Texas State Championship to battle with some tough teams. It wasn’t our weekend to bring home the win, big upset losses but this game is all about growth, learning, and continuing to improve.

Our defense showed up and played hard all weekend long. We made plays, stayed aggressive, and fought through every inning. Offensively, we struggled to get things going at the plate, but we know what we need to work on.

Losses don’t define this team — how we respond does. Time to get back to practice, fix our mistakes, and keep getting better together. Proud of these girls for never giving up and continuing to compete with heart.

Texas Shock traveled to Rosenberg, TX, for the Angels 4 Autism Tournament. Saturday, the girls were making noise. Due to weather, Saturday got cut short. Came out Sunday straight to bracket play. Single elimination, no room for error. The girls came out and showed out. Making it to the championship, falling short to a solid Blaze National. Taking the only lose all weekend. Us coaches got a lot of compliments from umpires, parents, coaches, and tournament directors on the girls’ performance. Texas Shock scored 42 runs and had 11 runs allowed all weekend.

This past weekend, Texas Shock marched up to Conroe Texas to participate in the USSSA Lonestar, elite invitational and did not disappoint! The girls were locked in from the very start to the very end. We played some very great competition and got into some very close games and were able to pull out some big wins. The girls had to face adversity in the semifinals losing to a tough Hustle national team, but we’re able to bounce back in a consolation game pulling out a big win against Hotshots Nationals- Derhiem sending us into the championship game, but unfortunately, the girls fell short against the same Hustle National team.
