The scoreboard may not have ended the way we wanted, but make no mistake about it these boys are leaving Louisiana as winners.

In a Gold Bracket loaded with AAA talent, the GC Royals Balleza 9U finished the weekend with an impressive 4-3 record and proved they belong on the field with anyone. When the odds were stacked against us, when the doubts started rolling in, and when people questioned whether we could compete at this level, these boys answered the only way they know how by battling for each other.

No excuses. Just heart.

We may not be bringing home the banner this time, but what these young men showed throughout this tournament was far greater than a trophy. They showed resilience. They showed toughness. They showed what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Every inning, every game, every challenge was met with effort, determination, and belief in the teammate standing next to them.

The future is bright for this group. The lessons learned, the memories made, and the growth that took place this week will carry far beyond one tournament.

Out of 17 teams, your GC Royals Balleza 9U battled their way to the #6 Seed and earned a spot in the Gold Bracket at the PG SWLA World Series.

This group has competed every inning, answered every challenge, and continues to prove that heart, grit, and teamwork can take you a long way. The work isn’t finished yet.

Tomorrow morning, the road continues as the Royals take the field for their first Gold Bracket matchup at 8:00 AM. One game at a time. One pitch at a time. One opportunity at a time.

ROYALS SHOW HEART IN THRILLING COMEBACK WIN!

Down 5-0 before most teams could settle in, the GC Royals Balleza 9U showed exactly what this program is built on grit, resilience, and belief.

The Royals answered with a six-run explosion in the first inning, battled through multiple momentum swings, and when the game was on the line, they delivered. Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the third, the boys refused to quit. Clutch hits from Canyon E and Liam M sparked the rally, with Liam delivering the game-winning knock to drive in two and secure a dramatic 10-9 victory over WAR 9U.

Not the result we wanted, but the response is what defines us.

One game does not erase the work, the growth, or the fight these boys have shown all season long. Baseball has a way of humbling you, and today was one of those days. We tip our cap to a talented Houston Velocity squad and turn our focus to the next opportunity.

A bright spot for the Royals, TJ L collected the team’s lone hit, while the defense battled through every inning without committing a single error. Alexander R led the team defensively, proving that effort and toughness never take a day off.

The beauty of this game is simple: when one game ends, another opportunity begins.
