Healing horses: How horses can change a life Horses have healing powers. This is why I like Morgans.

Rio Sandia Silver Sol 'Sol'

He is a trail horse, a lesson horse, and a carriage horse.

Born at my place May 20, 2008

For better or worse he is my horse

One of our solid, old style Morgans. He makes you work to ride him, you have to pay attention.

But if you can ride him, you can ride. He wants you to use your legs, seat and torso to ride him. Be light with your hands

Sisters, first time on a horse

09/09/2019

Sometimes we have our students do a pinky-swear all around the arena. They have to hold each other's little fingers for a lap or two around the arena. This makes them really use their legs as they can't pull their horses around corners when using only one hand on the reins.

Yes, sometimes their arms do get longer!:)

This is how I try to ride

08/23/2019

This young student wanted to ride on her own so after a couple of laps on the leadline we threw it over the horses neck and she did.

She is 4

For years this was our carriage horse. But a stifle injury a couple of years ago caused her retirement.

She is a very sweet horse so we thought we'd try getting her ready to ride and she has done very well.

She is 18
