Failure is good when you're strength training. By sequentially recruiting muscle fibers to positive failure, you're gaining strength throughout the whole muscle faster and safer.
Is anybody else reading Body by Science by John Little and Doug McGuff right now? π

1. Positive failure.
2. Training your muscles until you experience momentary muscle failure is a positive when strength training.
3. When you do this, it's important to first fatigue slow twitch muscle fibers, then the intermediate ones, and then the fast twitch muscle fibers.
4. Thanks to today's fitness technology, you can achieve this in one set that lasts 60 seconds to 2.5 minutes!

We made a new machine for you! Since falling, lower back pain, knee pain, slowing down, posture issues, and loss of balance are all legitimate concerns about aging, we made glute-activating Smart Strength equipment to alleviate the risk of all of these.
