Due to some technical difficulties, the last post was taken down ☹️
Let’s try this again…
Congrats to our very own Casi Doll on her commitment to University of California, Riverside 🌴

A special night for Balboa Bay Volleyball Club.
Last night, our players and families had the opportunity to hear from current USA Volleyball National Team athletes Erik Shoji, Matt Knigge, and Cole Hartke at Orange Coast College.
They shared their experiences, answered questions, and gave our athletes a real look into what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Huge thank you to Erik, Matt, Cole, and Coach Andy Read for taking the time to invest in the next generation of volleyball players.
Grateful for nights like this and the people who continue to help grow the game.

Balboa Bay alumni always find a way to show up throughout the year, and USAV Adult Nationals was no different.
2nd place in the Open Division… not bad, boys.
Stanford men’s volleyball with a big swing in the middle 🤠
Big swings by Sterling Foley ( USC ) anyone remember him in club volleyball?

Shoutout to Ole Miss for being the first team in college baseball to unsuccessfully use the challenge system.
Speaking of firsts, we wanted to look back at what might be the single best Nationals run any club has ever had.
2008, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Balboa Bay won every Open division except 17 Open, where we lost 19-17 in the third to Pali and one of our best friends, Matt Diaz.
In 18 Open, Balboa Bay did something that has only happened once:
18 Quiksilver: Gold Medal
18 White: Bronze Medal
First and third in 18 Open.
Rocky and Alan Knipe led the 18s to a national championship without two of their best players, who were with the Youth National Team.
A great 8 days in Utah and a huge piece of Balboa Bay history.
