There are so many similarities to power positions hitting and pitching. That back hip load, balanced back foot, torso staying stacked for the right amount of time, front foot/leg firm and stable to turn against…Be An Athlete with your hands at finish!

Keys to Pitching Success:
1. Confidence- trust your stuff, attack with command.
2. Stuff- pitch mix, movement, and velo
3. Experience- get out there and compete. Take your lumps and learn. Limit the mistakes and pitching from behind in the count.
4. Catcher relationship! Pitch selection/calling, trusting the ability to keep the ball down, and knowing they working to get strike calls.
5. Good defense always helps. 😎

Gone are the days when you could get to the next level in a sport, and SHINE, by just going through the motions with God-given talent and athleticism. There is too much science, too much technology, too available information, and too many of your peers out-working you!

1. Set your mind on your goal and take it serious.
2. Humble yourself and realize you are nowhere near as good as you need to be.
3. Have a smart plan and do it.
4. Receive coaching and criticism well.
5. Work your tail off every chance you get.

If you can’t do this or won’t do this, it just means something is more important to you than the sport you say you love.

"Arm Strength" isn't the issue. What pitchers need is ARM INTEGRITY and ARM SPEED, which comes from strength from the ground through the legs and an optimal kinetic chain to the hips, core, trunk, and shoulder. Strengthening the total body and improving this chain is what creates a strong pitcher and higher velocities.
