It’s time for another RSN Top-7/Teams To Watch For! With the action in the Shenandoah and Pioneer Districts, there’s movement, new additions, and teams to watch for headed into Week 4!
WEEK 3 RSN TOP-7
1.) Craig County Rockets Football - They hold their place atop the rankings despite of a Week 3 Bye following a huge Week 2 win.
2.) Staunton Storm - Survived a tough 16-8 test from Rockbridge County Wildcat Football! They stay undefeated headed into Week 4.
3.) Buffalo Gap Bison - STATEMENT WIN! Knocking off the reigning Shenandoah District Champ, Wilson Memorial 14-7.
4.) Stuarts Draft Cougars - Beat Riverheads Football in a tough, close game by score of 28-24.
5.) Riverheads Gladiators - At 2-1, they look to bounce back the next time they take the field after a 28-24 defeat to Draft.
T6.) Fort Defiance Indians/Parry McCluer Fighting Blues - Both sit at 2-1. Fort comes off a 20 point win over Waynesboro, while Parry McCluer suffers its first defeat at the hands of James River Knights.
T7.) Alleghany Cougars / Bath County Chargers - Both teams find their way back in the rankings following big rivalry game wins in Week 3. The Cougars beat Greenbrier East Football 42-6, while the Chargers beat Pocahontas County 49-8.
WEEK 3 TEAMS TO WATCH FOR
1.) Wilson Memorial Green Hornets - What does the champ do to respond when they’re on the ropes? Do they take shots or do they counter?
2.) Narrows Green Wave - They’re on the cusp of making the rankings. A big win could possibly see them jump a squad or a win and a loss by a squad could also see them in.
