Give it up for our Pandas! Not too many action shots from the admin side but here are the results from the Tristate Tough Guy/Tough Girl Series #7 event at Wewahitchka! We went with seven of our wrestlers and placed fourth out of 18 teams!

One night in the mid-‘90s, the Clear Creek Amana HS (in Iowa) Wrestling team had a double-dual vs. Solon HS and Durant HS. CCA lost both dual meets pretty badly, but one bright spot they had that night was their 130 lber… Chris Kutcher…who a few short years later would be known by the whole world as “Ashton Kutcher.”

Kutcher scored a pin vs. Solon’s wrestler with the last name of “Fordice.” This gave his team 6 team points…which was 60% of the total team points CCA scored vs. Solon.

And against Durant, he notched a 4-2 win over Trevor Fox! He was one of the only two guys from CCA who went 2-0 that night!

A few years later, Chris Kutcher would start going by the name of “Ashton” when he became a superstar after landing the role of Kelso in the TV show, “That ‘70s Show!” And from there he went on to make movies and even had a popular reality celebrity-prank show on MTV called “Punk’d.” He’s been very supportive of the sport of wrestling the entire time. A great advocate He even sat with Dan Gable at an Iowa Hawkeye dual meet a few years ago.

I’ve got a lot more coming for Ashton Kutcher… There’s just… so much I want to write about with him. There’s a ton of interesting stuff I have already put together that I have learned via research or knew already considering he is from a city in Iowa (Cedar Rapids) that is a little over an hour north of my hometown… heck, we wrestled his HS team at districts a lot back in those days…

Ashton Kutcher was a stud in HS. Not only on the mat, but in football as well. More to come in the future on him! I may make it video form!
