Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of IKMF Krav Maga developed a self defense system, not a martial art.

What he did do, is use techniques from several martial arts disciplines to create what is today’s Krav Maga. Why reinvent the wheel? Strikes come from boxing and Muay Thai. Throws from Judo. When you’re on the ground? Answer: Jiu Jitsu.

All of these disciplines, combined with specific techniques (edged weapon defense, gun disarming, stick defense, etc) create a complete system.

We had a great time, conducting Crestview's first IKMF Women's Stay Away seminar. If you missed it, don't worry, we plan to conduct more in the future. Until then, we train every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Crestview Fitness. A huge shout out to Crestview Fitness for hosting the seminar!
