Due to extreme heat conditions and increasing likelihood of afternoon storms, the Crozet Volunteer Fire Department Fourth of July Parade has been cancelled. The parade will not be rescheduled.

I made this decision after consulting with Albemarle County Emergency Management, a meteorologist, and taking into account all community feedback, current weather projections, and the health and safety of all participants, spectators, and first responders.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable Independence Day celebration for everyone.

Mark your calendars!

WAHS Cheer is excited to host our 2nd Annual “Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice” Vendor Bazaar & Craft Event on October 24th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Main Gym at Western Albemarle High School.

This event is not only a fundraiser to support our WAHS Cheer program, but also a way to give back to and highlight the many amazing small businesses in our community. We love bringing everyone together for a fun fall shopping experience!

We are currently looking for vendors to join us. Vendor registration is $30 (bring your own table), with a limited number of tables available for rent for $5 (must be reserved in advance).

We also plan to have food trucks back again this year, so come hungry and make a day out of it!
