Had Greg and Dell on the boat the other day. My phone had died the day before but thankfully they showed and we had a blast! They caught reds till their arms were tired and we finished it with a refreshing stop at a sandbar. Excellent day, excellent company, can't beat it!

So I've been waiting till they announced everything and got me my sticker but neither has happened.

However -

I finally received Best of the Best for Citrus County fishing guide for 2026!

So many times I got honorable mention, it was time! Huge thanks to all those who have supported me for the last 8 years! Can't believe I'm working towards ten years doing this! Dreams do come true.

Working for myself has been the best decision I ever made and I will never let that get away! I strive to continue to give you folks the adventures of a lifetime you'll never forget!

Just another day in paradise with one of my favorite clients and friend Tim. Started out throwing top water and got some great trout and his first top water red as well! Continued on and found the slam with a nice snook. Finished it off beating up on some great reds up to a perfect top slot. I love fishing with him, we always break out some artificial and put in the work. We had some of the most incredible top water blow ups from some absolute monsters. Even though they didn't connect, watching those explosions will keep me throwing those spooks forever out here! Some of them sounded like a chain whip cracking when they hit, wild stuff!

The big pond produces again. Hillary has been coming into the bait shop regularly and getting tips and information but she finally broke down and said take me out and show me. So I did. She got some awesome reds with a perfect 27 that fought like crazy. Some great trout and a few more snapper joined the party as well! Did you folks see that sunrise yesterday? Excellent company, beautiful weather, minus a little rain early and lots of tight lines made for another perfect !

We're on a roll here! Dan and Dave joined me for their first Ozello run yesterday. The reds continue to be the star of the show with some solid fish coming to the boat every day! Dave got his first reds and Dan got the over slot for the day! Continue to find a stud snapper or two every day as well! Nothing but good times and tight lines!

Sometimes things just work out! The fishing recently is one of those things. Eloy joined me yesterday to see what Ozello had to offer. I don't think we were a minute into the first sit, barely even 7am and we had rods singing that beautiful drag screaming music. Solid reds all morning with a fun snook and even a few chunky snapper joined the party. We had personal best over slot reds in the boat all week now!

It might be extra hot but so was yesterday's trip! Jesse and his son Dillon joined me for their first Ozello run. It was Dillon's birthday so I really had no choice but to get them on some good fish! Jesse started it with an awesome top slot red on top water, his first top water fish! Dillon missed a bunch of strikes but got to experience that top water adrenaline rush still! We switched to bait when the sun started getting up and the fish didn't stop biting! Dillon got his first snook and they both landed a pile of reds including an over slot for both of them with Jesse's hitting 30 inches! Got a couple awesome slot reds for the box and even a perfect 27 inch tournament winner we released! Add in a stud 14 inch snapper along the way and these guys definitely hammered out some fish! Happy birthday Dillon! Did you know I have a $50 discount for kids under 16?

Joe and Matt joined me for their first Ozello run yesterday. The heat is tough to deal with unless you're reeling in some studs to keep your mind off of it! They managed the inshore slam with some great fights. Knowing it was the weekend I stayed in the back to not battle the crowds out front. It worked with some solid reds, a great snook and one beautiful trout at 24 inches! Excellent company, lots of tight lines and an extra hot day made for another perfect !
