Cody and Josh joined me yesterday for some land of Oz fun. The reds hit the deck all day. Multiple overslots including a tank Cody landed on top water, a new pb artificial red for him! A pile of slot reds joined the fun too. Add in a few jacks and a trout Josh nailed on a spook and it was a well rounded day. The reds were showing up 2 at a time with multiple doubles and tons of drag screaming! I've got some great videos I'll be posting In the next few days! They even let me get in on the fun and we all landed phenomenal fish. Excellent company, beautiful weather and extra tight lines made for another perfect !

Yesterday was one for the books! First day of snook season and they were cooperating! Started with a 34 incher on top water, too big but definitely wasn't complaining. Proceeded to boat 2 more shortly after, one under slot and a beautiful 29 incher to hit that mark. The reds were playing nice and a pile of slots hit the boat including a beautiful 11 spot fish that came in on top water. Finished the day hiding from people way in the back. Managed an insane double up with 2 large and in charge fish. One broke off however the bigger fish made it to the boat! A 35 inch red completed the day..an absolute tank that fought with everything it had all the way to the net. Snook season only lasts so long, one of my favorite fish to target and oh so tasty. The red bite continues to be incredible. You don't have to wait till October with lines of boats at the spoil banks to catch a monster. I do it all year! ✅

Little bit of a birthday fun fishing trip yesterday for me. Had my buddy Chris out for the first time and we hit Yankeetown. I haven't been up there in years. The fish missed me! We caught piles of reds, lots of shorts but a bunch of great slot fish hit the deck. The black drum were everywhere but small. Found one keeper and so many shorts. I managed my best flounder in a while at 18+ inches and he nailed one barely short as well. Chris caught a couple sharks including one on artificial and even landed a nice trout. Add in some jacks and even a couple chunky croakers and it was a well rounded day! Definitely a cool place and I look forward to coming back up more often. The ramp is actually a little closer to where I'm living than the land of Oz. Excellent company, lots of tight lines and a beautiful day made for another perfect !

As always August has left me with too many open days. If you want a trip before the end of the month I can get you in. The big fish are playing and the mornings are beautiful! Gigging is always an option if the wind will allow as well. Big discounts for any day booked and deposit paid for in the next couple days. My birthday is in a few days and I'm always broke for it. Help me out and put me to work.
